''Lucero'' is the tenth album from Mexican pop music singer and actress Lucero. It was released on 1993 and is often cited as ''Veleta''. This album was the first Lucero album released only in CD and cassette, without being printed on LP. Had two formats: a digipack special edition & and the normal case with the bonus tracks, selling 350,000 copies on the former and reaching half-million status with the later. It is estimated that in total have sold over 1 million copies, certified by two gold albums and one platinum. The first single (and most successful) was "Veleta" (Vane), and the singer once again faced the challenge to remove Luis Miguel's "America, America" from the No. 1 spot in México. She accomplished that feat. "Veleta" is also her highest peak (along with Cuentame back in 1989) at the ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Tracks charts, hitting No. 2 on 1 May 1993. Lucero (actress)
Lucero Hogaza León (; born 29 August 1969) is a Mexican singer and entertainer. She is a multi-platinum singer in Mexico and has sung in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Lucero has sold more than 30 million records worldwide. She is often referred to as ("The Americas' sweetheart"). As a child she starred in the popular Mexican children shows '' Alegrias de Mediodia'' and '' Chispita''. She went on to release a series of successful albums. Some of her songs peaked on top of most of the Latin charts including the ''Billboard'' charts in the USA. The ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs (formerly Hot Latin Tracks and Hot Latin 50) is a record chart in the United States for Latin songs, published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. Since October 2012, chart rankings are based on digital sales, radio airplay, and online streaming, and only predominantly Spanish language songs are allowed to rank. The chart was established by the magazine on September 6, 1986, and was originally based on airplay on Latin music radio stations. Songs on the chart were not necessarily in Spanish language, since a few songs in English and Portuguese language have also charted. ''Aries'' is the ninth studio album by Mexican recording artist Luis Miguel. It was released by WEA Latina on 22 June 1993. After attaining commercial success in 1991 with his previous album, '' Romance'', Luis Miguel decided to return to a style similar to his earlier work, featuring pop ballads and dance numbers with R&B influences. The record was produced by Luis Miguel, who was assisted by Kiko Cibrian, Rudy Pérez, David Foster, and Juan Luis Guerra. Three singles were released to promote the album. The first two singles, "Ayer" and "Hasta Que Me Olvides," topped the US ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs chart and the third, "Suave," peaked at number nine. ''Cuéntame'' (''Eng: Tell me'') is the sixth and last studio album released by Mexican performer Lucerito. It was released in 1989. Most of the songs included on the album were used in the film '' Deliciosa Sinvergüenza'' (1990); the album also includes a cover of The Pet Shop Boys' " It's a Sin" titled "Hojas Secas". ''Cuéntame'' is one of the biggest sellers on the singer's career, and was the album that inicitated the transition from teenager, being the last album using the diminutive Lucerito.
