"Lovin' You" (stylized as LOVIN' YOU) is Batti Baas' debut single. The song featured rapper Aaron Blackmon. Information ''Lovin' You'' was released as 12" vinyl and contained different versions of the song on each side. The single was produced by Aki Hisakawa, with the lyrics written by both Yoshika and Tsugumi of Batti Baas and Aaron Blackmon. Soulhead (known as SOULHEAD in Japan) is a Japanese urban contemporary/ R&B duo consisting of sisters Yoshika Sawayama (よしか) and Tsugumi Sawayama (つぐみ). Both were born in Hokkaidō; Yoshika was born on July 20, 1978 and Tsugumi was born on January 25, 1981. Since their debut, they have worked with several well-known artists, including Sowelu, Koda Kumi, Crystal Kay and Ken Hirai. Biography Before they assumed the name Soulhead, Yoshika and Tsugumi were known as Batti Baas. Batti Baas released one vinyl single through Handcuts Records called ''Lovin' You'', which featured Aaron Blackmon. The song was a remake of the Minnie Riperton standard. ''Inside Out'' is Batti Baas' second single, released a year after their first single, ''Lovin' You.'' Information ''Inside Out'' was released as standard CD and only carried the title track and its instrumental. The single was produced under the Tokuma label. Their previous single was released under ''Handcut Records.'' The lyrics were written by both Yoshika and Tsugumi of Batti Baas. This was the last single released under the pseudonym Batti Baas, whereas, after the release, they were picked up by Sony Music Entertainment Japan and took on the name Soulhead. They would study overseas in New Zealand and Australia for a year to perfect their English. The twelve-inch single (often written as 12-inch or 12″) is a type of vinyl ( polyvinyl chloride or PVC) gramophone record that has wider groove spacing and shorter playing time with a 'single' or a few related sound tracks on each surface, compared to LPs (long play) which have several songs on each side.
