Lovejoy Independent School District (ISD) is a public school district in central Collin County, Texas, United States. The district's administration building is located at 259 Country Club Road in Allen. Located north of Dallas, the district covers an approximately area in central Collin County. It serves around 1,316 students in the communities of Lucas, Fairview, and a small portion of Allen and McKinney. Lovejoy ISD is bordered by Plano ISD to the south; Allen ISD to the west and southwest; McKinney ISD to the northwest, north and northeast; Princeton ISD to the east and Wylie ISD to the southeast. The district was founded on July 2, 1917, forming the Lovejoy Common School District, Number 32, from the consolidation of the Forest Grove and Lick Springs schools; its name is taken from Mrs. J.L. Lovejoy High School (Texas)
Lovejoy High School is a public high school in Lucas, Texas in south-central Collin County. It is the only high school of the Lovejoy Independent School District and is classified as a 5A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). Lovejoy High School serves most of the cities of Lucas, most of Fairview, and a small portion of Allen. Students from outside the district may transfer to Lovejoy High School for a tuition fee. Wylie Independent School District is a school district based in Wylie, Texas, United States and covers much of south central Collin County. Wylie ISD serves most of the city of Wylie, including the city of St. Paul, a portion of the city of Murphy, and the Collin County portion of the city of Sachse. Enrollment has grown to just over 17,000 students. The average student to teacher ratio is 17:1. In 2009, the school district was rated " recognized" by the Texas Education Agency.
