Louis François Mendy (born 2 March 1999) is a Senegalese track and field athlete who specialises in the 110 metres hurdles and also competes as a sprinter. At the 2019 African Games, he competed in the 110 metres hurdles, winning a bronze medal after winning the semifinal. The men's 110 metres hurdles event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place between 3 and 5 August 2021 at the Olympic Stadium. Approximately forty athletes were expected to compete; the exact number was dependent on how many nations used universality places to enter athletes in addition to the 40 qualifying through time or ranking (1 universality place was used in 2016). 40 athletes from 29 nations competed. Athletics at the 2020 Summer Olympics were held during the last ten days of the Games. They were due to be held from 31 July – 9 August 2020, at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.
