Louis F. Edelman
Louis F. Edelman (May 18, 1900 – January 6, 1976), was an American screenwriter and producer. He produced 39 films between 1935 and 1952, including the Fred Astaire musical ''You Were Never Lovelier'' (1942) and the gangster classic ''White Heat'' (1949) starring James Cagney. He was also active in television, having produced such series as ABC's ''The Big Valley'', ''The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp'' (1955–1961) and NBC's sitcom set in Tin Pan Alley, ''Love and Marriage'' (1959–1960). starring William Demarest and Stubby Kaye. He was also producer (in later seasons, executive producer) of ''The Danny Thomas Show''. Biography Louis F. Edelman was born in New York City on May 18, 1900. I'll See You In My Dreams (1951 Film)
''I'll See You in My Dreams'' is a 1951 musical film starring Doris Day and Danny Thomas, directed by Michael Curtiz. The film is a biography of lyricist Gus Kahn, and includes a number of songs written by Kahn, including the title song. The story, which thoroughly suppresses Kahn's Jewish origins, is told from the point of view of Kahn's wife Grace, who was still alive when the film was made (Kahn died some ten years earlier). ''I'll See You in My Dreams'' was a big hit, Warner Brothers' second-highest-grossing film of 1951. The series was an adaptation of the book ''Tempered Blade'', by Monte Barrett. Synopsis The series stars Scott Forbes as the real-life adventurer Jim Bowie. The series initially portrayed Jim Bowie as something of an outdoors-man, riding his horse through the wilderness near his home in Opelousas, where he would stumble across someone needing his assistance. Set at the United States Naval Academy, the film stars Dick Powell, Ruby Keeler, Lewis Stone, Ross Alexander, John Arledge, Eddie Acuff, and Dick Foran. The film was released by Warner Bros. on October 12, 1935.
