Jim Stamatis (born Kiriaki, Greece) is a retired U.S.-Greek soccer forward and the Chief Executive Officer of The Louis Berger Group. He played professionally in the North American Soccer League, Major Indoor Soccer League and American Soccer League. Youth and college Stamatis moved to the United States with his family as a youth. He attended Liberty High School in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. and was selected to the All State Team in 1975. After high school, he was recruited by many top colleges but elected to play at Penn State because of Coach Bahr’s honesty that Stamatis would need to earn a place on the team. Louis Berger
Louis Berger (1914 – 1996) was an American civil engineer. A graduate of Tufts College, Berger received his Master's degree in soils and geology from MIT and Doctorate in soil mechanics from Northwestern. He was a former faculty member of Pennsylvania State University's engineering department which designed a large portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. After completion of the contract, he opened a second office which often employed local labor to fulfill international contracts. The Florida International University pedestrian bridge collapse occurred on March 15, 2018, when a 175-foot-long (53 m) section of the FIU-Sweetwater UniversityCity Pedestrian Bridge collapsed while under construction.
