Los Secretos
Los Secretos are a Spanish rock band founded in Madrid in 1978 and often associated with the movida madrileña movement. The band's lineup has undergone many changes over the years, beginning with the successive deaths of two of their drummers, Canito (1979) and Pedro A. Díaz (1984), both to traffic accidents. In their early years, the core of the band was made up of the three Urquijo brothers, Álvaro, Enrique, and Javier. Javier left the band in the mid-80's, and Enrique died of a drug overdose in 1999, leaving Álvaro as the sole remaining founding member. The band's current lineup consists of Álvaro Urquijo (vocals and guitars), Ramón Arroyo (guitars), Jesús Redondo (keyboards), Juanjo Ramos (bass), and Santi Fernández (drums). David Summers Rodríguez (born 26 February 1964) is a Spanish musician, singer-songwriter, and bassist. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the Spanish pop rock band Hombres G. Ronald Eldon Sexsmith (born January 8, 1964) is a Canadian singer-songwriter from St. Catharines, Ontario. He was the songwriter of the year at the 2005 Juno Awards. He began releasing recordings of his own material in 1985 at age 21, and has since recorded seventeen albums. He was the subject of a 2010 documentary called '' Love Shines''. Early life Sexsmith grew up in St. Catharines and started his own band when he was 14 years old. Career Sexsmith was seventeen when he started playing at a bar, the Lion's Tavern, in his hometown. Foreigner (band)
Foreigner is a British-American rock band, originally formed in New York City in 1976 by veteran British guitarist and songwriter Mick Jones and fellow Briton and ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald, along with American vocalist Lou Gramm. Jones came up with the band's name as he, McDonald and Dennis Elliott were British, whereas Gramm, Al Greenwood and Ed Gagliardi were American. In 1977 Foreigner released its self-titled debut album, the first of four straight albums to be certified at least 5× platinum in the US. Ingram Cecil Connor III (November 5, 1946 – September 19, 1973) who was known professionally as Gram Parsons, was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and pianist who recorded as a solo artist and with the International Submarine Band, the Byrds, and the Flying Burrito Brothers, popularizing what he called "Cosmic American Music", a hybrid of country, rhythm and blues, Soul music, soul, Folk music, folk, and Rock music, rock. Graham Thomas Parker (born 18 November 1950) is an English singer-songwriter, who is best known as the lead singer of the British band Graham Parker & the Rumour. Las Ventas
The plaza de toros de Las Ventas, known simply as Las Ventas, is the largest bullfighting ring in Spain, located in the Guindalera quarter of the Salamanca district of Madrid. It was inaugurated on June 17, 1931. Its seating capacity of 23,798, makes it the third-largest bullfighting run in the world, after bullrings in Mexico and Venezuela, respectively. This bullring was designed by the architect José Espeliú in the Neo-Mudéjar (Moorish) style with ceramic incrustations. The seats are situated in ten "tendidos". The price of the seats depends upon how close they are to the arena and whether they are in the sun or the shade (the latter being more expensive).
