Auditorio Telmex
Auditorio Telmex (English: Telmex Auditorium, originally Auditorio Metropolitano) is an indoor amphitheatre, located in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. Telmex, the largest communications company in Mexico, sponsored the auditorium and is one of the main centerpieces of the University Cultural Center, which is a large cultural project created by the University of Guadalajara. The building was designed by Mexican architect José de Arimatea Moyao and it is located on Parres Arias Av., in Zapopan. Throughout its short history, it has hosted a number of events and concerts and it is considered the main show center in Western Mexico. "When You Look Me in the Eyes" is a song by the American pop rock band Jonas Brothers. The song was released as the third and final single from their self-titled second album, ''Jonas Brothers'', in 2007. In the United Kingdom, it was released as a double-A side with " Burnin' Up". There are two versions of the song, featuring different lyrics and production: the first was released on Nick Jonas's solo album, '' Nicholas Jonas'' (Joe and Kevin Jonas Sr. (dad) feature on the song, and Kevin Jonas (brother) plays guitar), and the second was released on the album ''Jonas Brothers''. Jonas Brothers
The Jonas Brothers () are an American pop rock band. Formed in 2005, they gained popularity from their appearances on the Disney Channel television network. They consist of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. Raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, the Jonas Brothers moved to Little Falls, New Jersey, in 2005, where they wrote their first record that made its Hollywood Records release. Motel (band)
Motel is a Mexican rock band created in 2002, consisting of Guillermo "Billy" Méndez and Rodrigo Dávila Chapoy. History Motel was formed when its original members — Rodrigo and Billy — reunited to perform music casually, without long-term career intentions. Both recorded songs in music studios and rehearsals independently for several months before coming together as a group. They then played as a duo in bars in Mexico City, eventually inviting Michel DeQuevedo (drums) and Rubén Puente (bass) to form part of the band. "Me Enamora" (English: ''It Makes Me Fall in Love'') is a song written and performed by Colombian singer and Songwriter, Juanes. The song is the first radio single of his fourth solo studio album '' La Vida... Es Un Ratico'' (2007) and it received three awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Short Form Music Video at the Latin Grammy Awards of 2008. One, Two, Three, Go! (1, 2, 3, Go!) is the third international single and fourth single in Mexico from Belanova's third studio album, '' Fantasía Pop''. Miranda!
Miranda! is an Argentine electropop band formed in 2001. Original band members include Alejandro Sergi (vocals), Juliana Gattas (vocals), Lolo Fuentes (guitar), Bruno de Vincenti (programming), and since 2003, Nicolás Grimaldi (bass). It is currently a duo between Sergi and Gattas. The group has found success throughout Latin America as well as in the United States and Europe. Babasónicos
Babasónicos is an Argentine rock band, formed in the early 1990s along with others such as Peligrosos Gorriones and Los Brujos. After emerging in the wave of Argentine New Rock bands of the late 1980s and early 1990s, Babasonicos became one of the banner groups of the "sonic" underground rock movement in Argentina in the late 1990s. The band name refers partly to Sai Baba, the Indian guru, and partly to ''The Jetsons'', whose Spanish version is called ''Los Supersónicos'' (The Supersonics). Jose Tillan
José Tillán (born May 24, 1966) is a media executive and professional musician, composer and producer whose career has primarily been focused on the Latin music industry. Tillán launched MATT Entertainment in 1993, where he managed Cuban-American singer-songwriter Nil Lara, Peruvian pop-roots singer-songwriter Pepe Alva and punk-rock outfit Joe Popp. After approximately 4 years as an artist manager, he closed MATT Entertainment and joined MTV Networks as the Director of Music and Talent. While at MTV, Tillán spearheaded MTV’s ‘Unplugged’ series for MTV Latin America with artists such as Shakira, Mana, Alejandro Sanz, La Ley, Julieta Venegas, Diego Torres and Ricky Martin. Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica
Premios MTV Latinoamérica (previously known as MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica or VMALA's) was the Latin American version of the Video Music Awards. They were established in 2002 to celebrate the top music videos of the year in Latin America and the world. They are presented annually and broadcast live on MTV Networks Latin America. Until 2004, all the VMALAs were held in Miami. The 2005 edition was the first one planned to be held outside the United States, but the show was cancelled ( see below). The 2006 VMALAs (Premios MTV Latinoamérica) were held in Mexico City, and therefore were the first ones to actually be celebrated in Latin America. In 2010 the awards were permanently cancelled. The eighth annual Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2009 took place on October 15, 2009 in Bogotá, Colombia at Corferias, at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, United States, Mexico City, Mexico and Buenos Aires, Argentina. René Pérez Joglar, also known as Residente from Calle 13, alongside pop singer Nelly Furtado served as the hosts. Sylvia Villagran was the announcer for the show. Regional awards were given out on special events recorded prior to the main show to be held on October 15 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. Buenos Aires was the first city to host this year's event. Miranda! and Pablo Lescano performed at Espacio Darwin on September 30.
