Long Service Medal (Military) (Singapore)
The Long Service Medal (Military) is a decoration awarded to a member of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) (regardless of regular or NSmen status) who has completed 25 years of continuous service. Previously, regular servicemen were eligible for the Pingat Bakti Setia (Long Service Award) in line with other government employees, however NSmen were not eligible. Description * The ribbon is white, with a central red stripe and two flanking thin red stripes on either side. Khoo Boon Hui (), born in 1954 in Singapore, is the Senior Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Mr Khoo Boon Hui succeeded Jackie Selebi and Arturo Verdugo (acting) as President of INTERPOL, from 2008 to 2012, and he was succeeded by Mireille Ballestrazzi. Ronnie Tay (born 2 October 1963) is a Singaporean civil servant and former two-star rear-admiral who served as Chief of Navy between 2003 and 2007. Evelyn Norris
Noel Evelyn Norris (December 25, 1918 – February 15, 2014) was a Singaporean educator best known for her association with Raffles Girls' School. She was also the first principal of Crescent Girls' School. Norris was a volunteer in the Royal Air Force during World War II and later became a Major in the People's Defence Force in charge of Singapore Women Auxiliary Corps.
