Loke Cheng Kim
Loke Cheng Kim (; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Lu̍k Su̍k-kâi''; 5 May 1895 – 1981) was a Malaysian–Singaporean businesswoman and philanthropist. Early life Born the eldest daughter of a Chinese business family of mixed Hokkien-Hakka descent from Penang with ancestral roots in both Guangdong as well as Fujian provinces of China which owned tin mines in Selangor and had been established in Malaya for generations. Her mother, Soon Kui Sim, took over the management of her husband's tin mines in Rawang, when he was forced to retire due to illness. Being largely illiterate, she devised her own complex hieroglyphic bookkeeping system to manage the family's extensive finances. Loke's mother would even go to the mines personally and wake the labourers up to work by literally pulling them out of bed. Rawang Komuter Station
The Rawang railway station is a railway station in Rawang, Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia that is served by the KTM Komuter (of the Port Klang Line since 2015) and the KTM ETS train services. Katong, also known as Tanjong Katong, is a residential neighbourhood in the eastern portion of the Central Region of Singapore, within the Marine Parade planning area. The Cathay Building (; ms, Bangunan Cathay) was opened in 1939 by Dato Loke Wan Tho as the headquarters for the British Malaya Broadcasting Corporation. Dhoby Ghaut () is a place in Singapore that often refers to the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, a major interchange station on Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit network connecting the North-South Line, North East Line, and the Circle Line. As a place, Dhoby Ghaut lies along the eastern end of Orchard Road. There is a shopping mall above the MRT station called Plaza Singapura.
