Lois Abbingh
Lois Abbingh (born 13 August 1992) is a Dutch female professional handballer who plays as a left back for Odense Håndbold and the Netherlands women's national handball team, Dutch national team. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Career In 2011, she was a key player of the Dutch team that reached the final of the 2011 Women's 19 European Handball Championship, Women's 19 European Championship, just to fell short against Denmark in a close battle to 27–29. Abbingh scored 65 goals in the tournament and won the top scorer's award. Groningen (; gos, Grunn or ) is the capital city and main municipality of Groningen province in the Netherlands. 2011 Women's 19 European Handball Championship
The 2011 Women's U-19's European Handball Championship is the eighth edition of the continental handball event for this age group, and the fourth under its new name, that is being held between 4 and 14 August in the Netherlands. Norway entered the championship as title holders, after beaten 2009 hosts Hungary 29–27 in the previous tournament's final. According to the competition regulations, only players born on or after 1 January 1992 are eligible to participate. Denmark won the championship for the third time, beating first time finalists Netherlands in the decisive match 29–27. Venues Five cities have been selected to stage the championship. European Women's Junior Handball Championship
The European Women's U-19 European Handball Championship is the official competition for junior women's national handball teams of Europe. Organized by the European Handball Federation, it takes place every two years. The competition received its current name in 2004, until then it was known as the European Women's Junior Handball Championship. In addition to crowning the European champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Women's Junior World Handball Championship. 2014 Baia Mare Champions Trophy
The 2014 Baia Mare Champions Trophy was the first Baia Mare Champions Trophy. It was held in Baia Mare, Romania from 15 to 17 August as a pre-season international women's team handball tournament for clubs. Two-time EHF Champions League winner Krim and FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria appeared in the tournament, along with the hosts HCM Baia Mare and others. Danish Women's Handball Cup
The Danish Women's Handball Cup ( da, DHF's Landspokalturnering), known as the Santander Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the main domestic cup tournament for Danish women's handball clubs, which is partially organised and supervised by the Danish Handball Federation. The competition has been played annually since 1964. Tournament structure The initial 6 rounds are managed by the three regional federations with the DHF taking over the tournament at the round of 16. It ultimately results in a final four event scheduled between Christmas and New Year. The winner of the tournament qualify for the annual Super Cup held during the summer where they meet the season's league winner. If the same team wins both the league and the cup, the losing cup finalist will participate as the second team in the Super Cup. The women's tournament of Handball at the 2016 Summer Olympics at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, began on 6 August and ended on 20 August 2016. Games were played at the Future Arena.
