Loafy
''Loafy'' is an American adult animated comedy series of animated shorts created by former SNL cast member and comedian Bobby Moynihan and made by Cartuna, which partnered with the company, Big Breakfast. It premiered on Comedy Central's digital platforms on August 8, 2020. Plot This series is a comedy about a "weed-dealing manatee who runs a drug empire" while in his water tank at the Center Park Zoo, a run-down zoo which is adjacent to the Central Park Zoo. Cast and characters Main * Bobby Moynihan as Loafy, a manatee who smokes weed and runs a drug empire from his Center Park Zoo tank. Bobby Moynihan (born January 31, 1977) is an American actor, comedian and writer who was a cast member on ''Saturday Night Live'' from 2008 until 2017. He also voiced Louie Duck on Disney's ''DuckTales'' from 2017 to 2021, Panda in ''We Bare Bears'' from 2015 to 2020, and Hal the Dog in the PBS Kids series ''Nature Cat'' since 2015. He has also starred in animated films such as '' Monsters University'' (2013) and ''The Secret Life of Pets'' (2016) and its 2019 sequel. Cartuna is a Brooklyn-based animation production company that has made animated TV Shows for Syfy, Comedy Central and Facebook Watch. The company has producers, all of which have their own unique style. History The company was founded in May 2015 in Bushwick, Brooklyn by James Belfer and Adam Belfer, viewing a perceived gap in the market for adult animation for digital and mobile audiences that they could fill. The Studio would produce the animation for the documentary film '' Nuts!'' in 2016, which won a Special Jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
