Lo King-man
Lo King-man (; born 1937) is a Hong Kong performing artist and director. He is dubbed as the "Father of Hong Kong Opera". He is also the former vice-chairman of the Urban Council from 1990 to 1995, as well as member of the various public advisory boards including the member of the Hong Kong Basic Law Consultative Committee from 1985 to 1990. Early life and education Lo was born in Hong Kong and was educated at the Diocesan Boys' School. He was graduated from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. During his studies, he received scholarship from the Italian government to study theatre history and literature at the Sapienza University of Rome. During his stay in Italy, he interned at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and the Teatro Politeama. Hong Kong Basic Law Consultative Committee
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Basic Law Consultative Committee (BLCC; 香港基本法諮詢委員會) was an official body established in 1985 to canvass views in Hong Kong on the drafts of the Hong Kong Basic Law. Background The formation of the Consultative Committee was decided at the first meeting of the Hong Kong Basic Law Drafting Committee (BLDC), for consultation with the Hong Kong people on various drafts of the Hong Kong Basic Law. The membership of the BLCC was completely consisted of Hong Kong persons. 25 of the Hong Kong members of the Drafting Committee formed a Sponsors Committee to work on the formation of the BLCC. Independent Commission Against Corruption (Hong Kong)
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong was established by Governor of Hong Kong, Governor MacLehose of Beoch, Sir Murray MacLehose on 15 February 1974, when Hong Kong was under colonial Hong Kong, British rule. Its main aim was to clean up endemic corruption in the many departments of the Government of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Government through law enforcement, prevention and community education. The ICAC is independent of the Hong Kong Civil Service and politically-appointed Principal officials of Hong Kong, Principal Officials.
