Llevi Noel
Llevi Noel (born July 15, 1991) is a former professional Canadian football wide receiver. He is a Grey Cup champion after winning the 105th Grey Cup with the Toronto Argonauts in 2017. Noel was a member of four different teams in the Canadian Football League (CFL), the Toronto Argonauts, Ottawa Redblacks, Edmonton Elks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Early career Toronto Varsity Blues Noel played Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) football with the Toronto Varsity Blues from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, he played in six games and had 49 receptions for 758 yards and four touchdowns en route to being named an OUA first team all-star and CIS second team all-Canadian. 2013 CIS Football Season
The 2013 CIS football season began on August 25, 2013, with ten Ontario University Athletics teams playing that day. Calgary Stampeders
The Calgary Stampeders are a professional Canadian football team based in Calgary, Alberta. The Stampeders compete in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Thanksgiving Day Classic
The Thanksgiving Day Classic (french: Classique de jour de l'Action de grâce) is an annual doubleheader held on Thanksgiving in the Canadian Football League (CFL). It is typically one of two days in which the league plays on a Monday afternoon; the other is the Labour Day Classic. Unlike the Labour Day Classic, the teams in the Thanksgiving Day Classic rotate each year. Purolator is the presenting sponsor of the event as of 2022. The Montreal Alouettes have traditionally been given hosting duties for the opening game. Phil Bates (born September 20, 1989) is an American football wide receiver for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was most recently a member of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He played college football at Ohio. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2012. Tori Gurley (born Norristorius Gurley on November 22, 1987) is a gridiron football player who is currently a free agent, having most recently been a member of the Ottawa Redblacks organization, of the Canadian Football League (CFL). 2016 CFL Draft
The 2016 CFL Draft took place on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 7:00 PM ET on TSN2 and RDS2. 70 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. The draft was expanded to eight rounds, which is the most since there were eight rounds in the 1992 CFL Draft.
