Livorno Centrale Railway Station
Livorno Centrale railway station ( it, Stazione di Livorno Centrale) is the main station of the Italian city of Livorno. It is situated in the ''Piazza Dante'' on the eastern edge of the town. It is on the Pisa–Livorno–Rome line and handles nearly 5,300,000 passengers annually. Trains of various types stop at the station, including Inter-city and Eurostar. History The railway line between ''Livorno San Marco'' station and the ''Leopolda'' station in Pisa was opened in 1844. In 1867 the railway from Rome to Livorno was completed, but instead of following the coast, north of Cecina it went inland towards Collesalvetti, where it turned west to Livorno. In 1873 Collesalvetti was connected directly with Pisa, so that Livorno was effectively bypassed by the main line. In 1910 a direct link along the coast between Cecina and Livorno was completed, putting Livorno back on the main line. ''Livorno Centrale'' station was opened on 3 July 1910 a few days after the completion of the ...

Eurostar Italia
Eurostar Italia was the name given to high-speed trains operated by Trenitalia in Italy. The brand was discontinued and replaced with Le Frecce in December 2012. History The category Eurostar, introduced in 1997, replaced the Pendolino trains and had always been for the route connecting Milan to Rome and its extensions. Since 2006 with the opening of the high speed lines the category gradually declined in several subcategories and the original gradually downsized. In June 2012, the category Eurostar was divided into various subcategories indicating various high-speed services. The new categories created were Frecciarossa for the fastest trains (), Frecciargento for the next category of trains (), and Frecciabianca (). The final Eurostar services connecting Rome with Ravenna and Reggio Calabria operated until December 2012. The name ''Eurostar'' was used under license from Iveco, which owns the trademark and used the name for one of their trucks. Despite the identical name, the ...

Buildings come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and functions, and have been adapted throughout history for a wide number of factors, from building materials available, to weather conditions, land prices, ground conditions, specific uses, prestige, and aesthetic reasons. To better understand the term ''building'' compare the list of nonbuilding structures. Buildings serve several societal needs – primarily as shelter from weather, security, living space, privacy, to store belongings, and to comfortably live and work. A building as a shelter represents a physical division of the human habitat (a place of comfort and safety) and the ''outside'' (a place that at times may be harsh and harmful). Ever since the first cave paintings, buildings have also become objects or canvasses of much artistic ...
