Living Room (2015 Play)
''Living Room'' or ''The Living Room'', is a 2015 Indian play written and directed by actress and playwright Kalki Koechlin, which premiered at Ranga Shankara Hall, Bangalore, in July 2015. The play that marked the directorial debut of Koechlin, stars Neil Bhoopalam and Sheeba Chaddha in lead roles with Jim Sarbh and Tariq Vasudeva playing supporting roles. The play opened to positive response from critics. Plot The play opens with Death personified as a man (Neil Bhoopalam), standing in a living room nearby Mrs Anna Nil (Sheeba Chaddha), an elderly woman who is asleep, to wake up and discover that death is nearing her. Also present in her room are her Grandson, (Jim Sarbh), and a whiny and complaining Doctor (Tariq Vasudeva) who later transforms into a hub of the tale. The play follows conversations between the characters that carry humour and several underlying messages on life and death. Kalki Koechlin
Kalki Koechlin (; born 10 January 1984) is a French actress and writer who works in Hindi films. Known for her unconventional body of work, she is the recipient of such accolades as a National Film Award, a Filmfare Award, and two Screen Awards. Although a French citizen, she has been brought up and lived most of her life in India. Born in Puducherry, India, Koechlin was drawn to theatre from a young age. She studied drama at Goldsmiths, University of London, and worked simultaneously with a local theatre company. Kalki Koechlin At A Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Press Conference
Kalki ( sa, कल्कि), also called Kalkin or Karki, is the prophesied tenth and final incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu. He is described to appear in order to end the Kali Yuga, one of the four periods in the endless cycle of existence (''Krita'') in Vaishnava cosmology. The end of the Kali Yuga states this will usher in the new epoch of Satya Yuga in the cycle of existence, until the Mahapralaya (dissolution of the universe). Kalki is described in the Puranas as the avatar who rejuvenates existence by ending the darkest and destructive period to remove adharma (unrighteousness) and ushering in the Satya Yuga, while riding a white horse with a fiery sword.
