480i is the video mode used for standard-definition digital television in the Caribbean, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Laos, Western Sahara, and most of the Americas (with the exception of Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay). The ''480'' identifies a vertical resolution of 480 lines, and the ''i'' identifies it as an interlaced resolution. The field rate, which is 60 Hz (or 59.94 Hz when used with NTSC color), is sometimes included when identifying the video mode, i.e. 480i60; another notation, endorsed by both the International Telecommunication Union in BT.601 and SMPTE in SMPTE 259M, includes the frame rate, as in 480i/30. The other common standard definition digital standard, used in the rest of the world, is 576i. SDTV
Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems. The two common SDTV signal types are 576i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, derived from the European-developed PAL and SECAM systems, and 480i based on the American NTSC system. Raymond Kristoffer Gutierrez (born January 21, 1984), known professionally as Raymond Gutierrez, is a Filipino-American TV host, editor, columnist, endorser, entrepreneur and occasional actor in the Philippines. He is best known for hosting ''Pinoy Idol'' in 2008. He was also one of the hosts of ''Showbiz Police''. Sam Oh
Oh Sang-mi, better known as Sam Oh is a television host, radio broadcaster and a Korean expatriate who has been living in the Philippines for 20 years. She can speak Tagalog and English in addition to her native Korean. She has been the main hostess of ''Rated Oh!'' on Solar Entertainment's ETC cable channel for eight seasons and a columnist of ''The Manila Times''. Oh landed the job on ETC through an audition, which was turned into a reality show. She had a morning radio show on 99.5 Hit FM (now 99.5 Play FM) entitled ''Sam Vs Sam'' with former co-host Sam YG (until Sam YG was suspended by management which led to his eventual transfer to Magic 89.9 in July 2007). By September, she was part of its replacement, ''The HiT Morning Crew'', along with the Flushmasters Sonny B & Bennii and newsgirl Christina (previously with Robi the Rascal and Boytoy Chevy Chase). The network primarily aired lifestyle programs and dramas particularly aimed toward women. Its flagship station was DZOE-TV, which GMA ran as part of a lease with its owner, ZOE Broadcasting Network (who also aired programming on Q's schedule as part of the agreement, which also granted it access to technical resources from GMA).
