''Live in Las Vegas Vol. 2'' is the second live album by United States, American pop duo Sonny & Cher, released in December 1973 by Kapp Records, Kapp/MCA Records. Album information It was released in December 1973, entered the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart on December 22, 1973, and reached #175 on the ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' album charts. This was their third double album after 1968's ''Sonny & Cher's Greatest Hits'' and 1972's ''The Two of Us (Sonny & Cher album), The Two of Us''. The album is largely a collection of cover songs including "I Can See Clearly Now" (originally by Johnny Nash) and "Tapestry (Carole King album), Where You Lead" (originally by Carole King). No singles were released from the album. The songs "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" and "You Better Sit Down Kids" were performed by Bono; both were written by Bono and performed by Cher in the late 60s. Sonny & Cher were an American pop and entertainment duo in the 1960s and 1970s, made up of husband and wife Sonny Bono and Cher. The couple started their career in the mid-1960s as R&B backing singers for record producer Phil Spector. The pair first achieved fame with two hit songs in 1965, "Baby Don't Go" and "I Got You Babe". Signing with Atco/Atlantic Records, they released three studio albums in the late 1960s, as well as the soundtrack recordings for two unsuccessful movies, ''Good Times'' and ''Chastity'', with Cher contributing vocals to one cut, "Chastity's Song (Band of Thieves)". Wally Heider (''né'' Wallace Beck Heider; 20 May 1922 Sheridan, Oregon – 22 March 1989) was an American recording engineer and recording studio owner who refined and advanced the art of studio and remote recording and was instrumental in recording the San Francisco Sound in the late 1960s and early 1970s, recording notable acts including Jefferson Airplane, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Van Morrison, the Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Santana. Dean Parks
Weldon Dean Parks (born December 6, 1946) is an American session guitarist and record producer from Fort Worth, Texas. Albums Parks was member of the North Texas State One O'clock Lab Band before moving to Los Angeles to work with Sonny and Cher in 1970. In 1980, he was a founding member of the Christian Jazz Fusion band Koinonia. Parks is best known for his many contributions to albums by Steely Dan, Michael Jackson, and Bread. Notably, he played guitar on Steely Dan's '' Royal Scam'' track, " Haitian Divorce". Parks is also a long time collaborator on David Foster albums, such as ''Shadows'' by Gordon Lightfoot. Jeff Porcaro
Jeffrey Thomas Porcaro (; April 1, 1954 – August 5, 1992) was an American drummer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his work with the rock band Toto but is one of the most recorded session musicians in history, working on hundreds of albums and thousands of sessions. While already an established studio player in the 1970s, he came to prominence in the United States as the drummer on the Steely Dan album ''Katy Lied''. David Hungate
William David Hungate (born August 5, 1948) is an American bass guitarist noted as a member of the Los Angeles pop-rock band Toto from 1976 to 1982 and again from 2014 to 2015, and the son of judge William L. Hungate. Along with most of his Toto bandmates, Hungate did sessions on a number of hit albums of the 1970s, including Boz Scaggs's ''Silk Degrees'' and Alice Cooper's '' From the Inside''. Career Hungate played on Toto's first four records, including the Grammy award-winning album ''Toto IV''. He left the band shortly after its release for a career as a session musician in Nashville. David Paich
David Frank Paich (born June 25, 1954) is an American musician, best known as the co-founder, principal songwriter, keyboardist and singer of the rock band Toto since 1977. He wrote or co-wrote much of Toto's original material, including the band's three most popular songs: " Hold the Line", " Rosanna" and "Africa".
