Live In Hollywood (RBD Video Album)
''Live in Hollywood'' is the second live concert release by Latin pop group RBD. Released on April 4, 2006 in Mexico and in the United States, the DVD includes the whole concert performed and recorded on January 21, 2006 at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles, California, plus a backstage pass and extra footage of the band on the road on their 'Tour Generación 2006' or 'Nuestro Amor Tour'. This concert was the first the group performed in the United States, with the show itself having a visually colorful and acoustic style, even counting with the support of a gospel choir. Despite having been recorded in the United States, the edition of the DVD released in the US does not feature the medley performance of "Rebelde", "Solo Quédate En Silencio" and "Sálvame". The performance was, however, shown on the US television network Telemundo on March 24, 2007. Pantages Theatre (Hollywood)
The Hollywood Pantages Theatre, formerly known as RKO Pantages Theatre, is located at Hollywood and Vine (6233 Hollywood Boulevard), in Hollywood. Designed by architect B. Marcus Priteca, it was the last theater built by the vaudeville impresario Alexander Pantages. The palatial Art Deco theater opened on June 4, 1930, as part of the Pantages Theatre Circuit. History The Pantages Theatre Circuit was part of vaudeville, and the new Hollywood theater programmed first-run movies alternating through the day with vaudeville acts for its first two years. But like other theaters during the Great Depression, it was forced to economize and thereafter operated primarily as a movie theater, though live entertainment was presented occasionally. José Christian Chávez Garza (, born August 7, 1983), most often known as Christian Chávez is a Mexican singer, songwriter and actor, best known for his role as Giovanni Méndez López in the telenovela ''Rebelde'' and its spin-off pop group RBD. Career In 2002, Chávez was cast as Fernando 'Fercho' Lucena in the telenovela ''Clase 406''. The series had four seasons and 350 one-hour episodes in total. Alfonso Herrera Rodríguez (, born 28 August 1983) is a Mexican actor and former singer. Born in Mexico City, Herrera made his television debut in ''Clase 406'' in 2002. The song was used to promote the second season of the soap opera ''Rebelde''. Background and release The Mexican telenovela ''Rebelde'' began production of its second season in 2005.
