Ryan Adams
David Ryan Adams (born November 5, 1974) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, artist, and poet. He has released 23 albums, as well as three studio albums as a former member of alt-country band Whiskeytown. In 2000, Adams left Whiskeytown and released his debut solo album, ''Heartbreaker'', to critical acclaim. The album was nominated for the Shortlist Music Prize. The following year, his profile increased with the release of the UK certified-gold ''Gold'', which included the single, "New York, New York". During this time, Adams worked on several unreleased albums, which were consolidated into a third solo release, ''Demolition'' (2002). Working at a prolific rate, Adams released the classic rock-influenced ''Rock N Roll'' (2003), after a planned album, '' Love Is Hell'', was rejected by his label Lost Highway. As a compromise, ''Love Is Hell'' was released as two EPs and eventually released in its full-length state in 2004. After breaking his wrist during a li ...

PAX AM
Pax Americana Recording Company, also known as PAX-AM, is a record label founded by Ryan Adams. Established in 2004, the label released certain of Adams’ then-unpublished demo recordings. Following Adams' fulfillment of a recording contract with Lost Highway Records in 2008, the PAX-AM label became the artist's exclusive venue for musical releases. In early November 2010, the label re-launched its webpage and announced platforms for retail and the release of music by additional artists. History Adams' idea for 'PAX-AM' records germinated in high school. Adams states: "When I was in high school, I used to pass out these cassettes that said Pax-Am Records. That was my imaginary label. They were little compilations where I played all the instruments — one track would be like a Pet Shop Boys-sounding band, another would be a metal-sounding band or a surf-rock band. I had fake names for these groups, but it was all totally me. Nobody cared, of course." Releases 001 "California ...

Ashes & Fire

Recorded with producer Glyn Johns, ''Ashes & Fire'' marks Adams' return to recording following the disbandment of his band the Cardinals in 2009. Regarding the album, Adams noted, "The record is obsessed with time. I believe that there is a kinder view of the self. I'm passing through my own life as a ghost, and looking at these pieces and places in my life. I'm looking at California, and the idea of being lost and found at the same time." On October 16, 2011, the album entered the UK Albums Chart at number 9, making his best position in the UK. In the US, it debuted at number 7, making ''Ashes & Fire'' his second top 10 album since ''Easy Tiger''. The album was preceded by the single "Lucky Now", Adams' first release with Capitol Records. Background In January 2009, while touring in support of ''Cardinology'' (2008), Adams announced that he was planning to retire from m ...

Ryan Adams (album)
''Ryan Adams'' is the 14th studio album by American singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, released on 9 September 2014 on PAX AM. The album features an atmospheric rock-based aesthetic, in comparison to its primarily acoustic predecessor, ''Ashes & Fire'' (2011). Self-produced by Adams, and his recording partner Mike Viola, the album was preceded by the single, "Gimme Something Good", and was recorded following the completion of a now-abandoned studio album, recorded by Adams' ''Ashes & Fire'' collaborator, Glyn Johns. The album earned two nominations at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in Best Rock Song for "Gimme Something Good" and Best Rock Album. Background Following the release of ''Ashes & Fire'' (2011), and its successful accompanying tour, Adams returned to the studio in 2012 to record its follow-up with producer Glyn Johns. The planned album was set to include "more orchestral flourishes" than its primarily stripped-back predecessor. In March 2013, Adams debuted two new songs, ...

The Cardinals (rock Band)
The Cardinals were an American R&B group of the 1950s. Sharing a legacy with the Orioles, The Cardinals are remembered as one of the best R&B ballad acts to come out of Baltimore. Origins The Cardinals’ career began in 1946 (one year before The Orioles) when Leon Hardy and Meredith Brothers convinced Donald Johnson to join them in harmony on the corner of Gay Street and Forest. Johnson drafted his friend Ernie Warren to round out a quartet and the new group on the block became The Mellotones. They did the usual round of Baltimore bars and nightclubs for experience, singing the songs of black and white pop groups such as The Fortunes, The Ink Spots, and The Ames Brothers. They picked up a fifth member, Jack Aydelotte, when he and they were separately scheduled to perform on The Major Baumgartner Show, a local TV talent show. They never got on the air as the show ran overtime, but thanks to the booking they now had five members including an accompanist (Jack also played guitar). ...

Ménière's Disease
Ménière's disease (MD) is a disease of the inner ear that is characterized by potentially severe and incapacitating episodes of vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss, and a feeling of fullness in the ear. Typically, only one ear is affected initially, but over time, both ears may become involved. Episodes generally last from 20 minutes to a few hours. The time between episodes varies. The hearing loss and ringing in the ears can become constant over time. The cause of Ménière's disease is unclear, but likely involves both genetic and environmental factors. A number of theories exist for why it occurs, including constrictions in blood vessels, viral infections, and autoimmune reactions. About 10% of cases run in families. Symptoms are believed to occur as the result of increased fluid buildup in the labyrinth of the inner ear. Diagnosis is based on the symptoms and a hearing test. Other conditions that may produce similar symptoms include vestibular migraine and transient ischemi ...

2012 Live Albums
1 (one, unit, unity) is a number representing a single or the only entity. 1 is also a numerical digit and represents a single unit of counting or measurement. For example, a line segment of ''unit length'' is a line segment of length 1. In conventions of sign where zero is considered neither positive nor negative, 1 is the first and smallest positive integer. It is also sometimes considered the first of the infinite sequence of natural numbers, followed by  2, although by other definitions 1 is the second natural number, following  0. The fundamental mathematical property of 1 is to be a multiplicative identity, meaning that any number multiplied by 1 equals the same number. Most if not all properties of 1 can be deduced from this. In advanced mathematics, a multiplicative identity is often denoted 1, even if it is not a number. 1 is by convention not considered a prime number; this was not universally accepted until the mid-20th century. Additionally, 1 is the s ...
