Little Star (The Elegants Song)
"Little Star" is a song recorded by The Elegants. Members Vito Picone and Arthur Venosa co-wrote the lyrics. The music was adapted from "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". When released as a single in 1958, it topped both the R&B Best Sellers list and the ''Billboard'' Hot 100; however, it was the only song that ever charted for The Elegants. Reportedly, the Elegants refused to pay payola to a prominent New York disc jockey, which inhibited air play of their follow up recordings. Little Star went on to chart at #27 on the pop charts, #2 on rock charts, and #10 on R&B charts. "Little Star" remains one of the most popular examples of doo-wop music. Phil Spector described it as an "awful good record". Other artists to record this song include Dion, Randy & the Rainbows, The Slades, Vera Lynn, Linda Scott and Bobby Vee. A small portion of the song was performed by Paul Simon as part of the 1989 Dion song "Written on the Subway Wall." All-time charts References in culture * Th ...

New Juke Box Hits
''New Juke Box Hits'' is the fifth studio album by rock and roll pioneer Chuck Berry, released in March 1961 by Chess Records. Unlike his previous four LPs, only two songs, "Little Star" backed with "I'm Talking About You", had been previously released on a 45 rpm single. The album was recorded and released while Berry was in the midst of legal difficulties, which led to his imprisonment in 1962. The adverse publicity from these legal problems affected sales of his records, and the previous single failed to reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Berry did not release another album of songs for over three years. Legacy William Ruhlmann in a retrospective review for AllMusic, feels that the distractions of his legal problems inhibited Berry, so the songs on this album compare unfavourably with his earlier albums. Track listing All tracks composed by Chuck Berry except as noted. Side one # "I'm Talking About You" – 1:46 # "Diploma for Two" – 2:28 # "Thirteen Question Method" †...

Plot In 1992, a musician named Lennart finds in the woods an infant left for dead. Their adult son, Jerry, frequently visits the child, whom he names Theres. Lennart becomes obsessed with Theres due to her angelic voice. He convinces her never to leave the house by telling her that the world is full of "big people" who want to eat up the "little people," like her. He begins to teach her about music and states that music and love are found in the heart and in the mind.
