Litan
Litan (died 900) was abbot of Tuam. Litan was the fifth known abbot of Tuam, County Galway, but nothing else appears to be known of him. He was the apparent successor of Cormac mac Ciaran but because the sabbatical succession of Tuam is fragmentary, this is uncertain. The next person listed in connection with the monastery at Tuam would be in 947 but titled ''airchinneach'' (Erenagh), and so was probably not its abbot. Litan (film)
''Litan'' is a 1982 French horror film co-written, produced, edited, and directed by Jean-Pierre Mocky and Jean-Claude Romer. It stars Marie-José Nat, Jean-Pierre Mocky, Nino Ferrer, and Marisa Muxen. Plot A young couple passes through the village of Litan as the locals hold a Festival of the Dead. As the festival progresses, strange, and eerie events occur that reveals something sinister at work. Fearing for their lives, the couple decided to flee the village before they too become overtaken by the dark implications of the celebration and become shadows of their former selves. Lotan
Lotan (Ugaritic: 𐎍𐎚𐎐''-ltn'', transliterated ''Lôtān'', ''Litan'', or ''Litānu'', meaning "coiled") is a servant of the sea god Yam defeated by the storm god Hadad-Baʿal in the Ugaritic ''Baal Cycle''. Lotan seems to have been prefigured by the serpent ''Têmtum'' represented in Syrian seals of the 18th–16th century BC, and finds a later reflex in the sea monster ''Leviathan'', whose defeat at the hands of Yahweh is alluded to in the biblical Book of Job and in Isaiah 27:1. Lambert (2003) went as far as the claim that Isaiah 27:1 is a direct quote lifted from the Ugaritic text, correctly rendering Ugaritic ''bṯn'' "snake" as Hebrew ''nḥš'' "snake".
