Tankersley, South Yorkshire, Tankersley is a civil parish in the metropolitan borough of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. The parish contains twelve Listed building#England and Wales, listed buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England. Of these, one is listed at Grade II*, the middle of the three grades, and the others are at Grade II, the lowest grade. The parish contains the villages of Tankersley and Pilley, South Yorkshire, Pilley, and the surrounding area. Tankersley, South Yorkshire
Tankersley is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley in South Yorkshire, England. At the 2001 census it had a population of 1,414, increasing to 1,671 at the 2011 Census. The village is to the west of junction 36 of the M1 motorway and north of the A61 road. The parish church of St Peter is to the south of the A61, as is Tankersley Manor, now a hotel.
