Violent Non-state Actor
In international relations, violent non-state actors (VNSAs), also known as non-state armed actors or non-state armed groups (NSAGs), are individuals or groups that are wholly or partly independent of governments and which threaten or use violence to achieve their goals. VNSAs vary widely in their goals, size, and methods. They may include Drug cartel, narcotics cartels, popular liberation movements, religious and ideological organizations, corporations (e.g. Private military company, private military contractors), self-defence militia, and Paramilitary, paramilitary groups established by state governments to further their interests. 2018 Kabul Ambulance Bombing
On 27 January 2018, an ambulance was used as a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device near Sidarat Square in Kabul, Afghanistan. At least 103 people were killed and 235 others wounded in the attack. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. Bombing On 27 January 2018, insurgents blew up an explosives-packed ambulance near an interior ministry building on a busy and heavily-guarded street in the Afghan capital Kabul during rush hour. 2018 Save The Children Jalalabad Attack
On 24 January 2018, militants affiliated with Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – Khorasan Province launched a bomb and gun attack on a Save the Children office in Jalalabad, a city in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar, killing six people and injuring 27. Jalalabad (; Dari/ ps, جلالآباد, ) is the fifth-largest city of Afghanistan. January 2018 Benghazi Bombing
The January 2018 Benghazi bombing was an attack with two car bombs on the Bayaat al-Radwan mosque in Benghazi, Libya. Attack The first car bomb exploded outside of the mosque, the second bomb detonated 15 minutes later as firefighters and security forces had responded to the first explosion. A total of 41 people died and 80 others were wounded in the attacks. According to the Libya Observer, the mosque was attended by security forces; one official was reportedly killed in the bomb attack. An Egyptian national was killed.
