The following is a list of the north–south arterial thoroughfares in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Numbered streets run north–south with street numbers increasing to the west. In 1982 a quadrant system was adopted. Meridian Street (1 Street), portions which run adjacent to the east leg of Anthony Henday Drive, divide the east and west quadrants. Edmonton currently has three quadrants: northwest (NW), southwest (SW), and northeast (NE); the vast majority of the city falls within the northwest quadrant. Addresses on 33 Street and east have been encouraged to include NW to avoid confusion with addresses in the NE quadrant. The majority of major north–south streets are aligned with Dominion Land Survey#Road allowances, road allowances.
