Hindi
Hindi (Devanāgarī: or , ), or more precisely Modern Standard Hindi (Devanagari: ), is an Indo-Aryan language spoken chiefly in the Hindi Belt region encompassing parts of northern, central, eastern, and western India. Hindi has been described as a standardised and Sanskritised register of the Hindustani language, which itself is based primarily on the Khariboli dialect of Delhi and neighbouring areas of North India. Hindi, written in the Devanagari script, is one of the two official languages of the Government of India, along with English. Ramadasu
''Ramadasu'' is a 1964 Indian Telugu-language biographical film, based on the life of Kancharla Gopanna, produced and directed by V. Nagayya. It stars Nagayya, with N. T. Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Sivaji Ganesan and Anjali Devi in special appearances, with music composed by Ashwathama. The blockbuster film has garnered the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu, and has garnered several state awards. Plot Kancherla Gopanna's uncles, Akkanna and Madanna are ministers in Golconda ruled by Tanisha. Ramadasu marries Akkanna's daughter Kamala. Indrani (film)
''Indrani'' is a Bengali romantic drama film directed by Niren Lahiri based on a story of Achintya Kumar Sengupta. This film was released in 1958 under the banner of H.N.C. Productions. Nachiketa Ghosh was the music director of the movie. The film starring Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen in lead role. Plot Indrani Mukherjee the only daughter of a staunch Brahmin in a village studies at Kolkata and stays in a girls' hostel. She meets Sudarshan Dutta, who had a brilliant career as a student and is doing his PhD. They fall in love, and Indrani wants to get married with him as soon as possible. ''Arundhati'' is a 1967 Indian Oriya film directed by Prafulla Sengupta. Synopsis Arundhati and Manoj are lovers and part of an Odissi dance troupe. Manoj desperately loves Arundhati. One day, while the troupe is performing in front of a packed audience, one Biswajeet claims Arundhati to be his wife Madhumati. Actually Madhumati died in a train accident, but Biswajeet still believes that Madhumati is still alive. In suspicion, Manoj leaves Arundhati and disappears. Arundhati tries to convince Biswajeet that she is not Madhmati and she has a deep love interest with Manoj. Thaliritta Kinakkal
''Thaliritta Kinakkal'' is a 1980 Indian Malayalam film, directed by P. Gopikumar. The film stars Prathap Pothen, Sukumaran, Kuthiravattam Pappu and Madhumalini in the lead roles. The film has musical score by Jithin Shyam. The film is famous for being the only Malayalam film to have featured the legendary Mohammed Rafi in its soundtrack. Being huge fans of his, the makers were keen on getting Indian cinema's favourite voice to record for them. However, Rafi commented that he needed a few weeks to learn the pronunciation of the language and without understanding the language he would not be able to impart the right emotions. Rafi had died before the recording could materialise. Hence, a Hindi song was decided to be included in the film, to which he agreed, and thus "Shabab Leke" came about. Geethapriya
Lakshman Rao Mohite (15 June 1932 – 17 January 2016), better known by his pen-name Geethapriya ( kn, ಗೀತಪ್ರಿಯ), was an Indian film director and lyricist of the Kannada film industry. He has directed 40 films and penned over 250 songs in Kannada films. In 1992–93, he was awarded the Puttanna Kanagal Award for his contribution to Kannada cinema as a director. Early life Geethapriya was born as Lakshman Rao Mohite in 1931, to Ramarao Mohite and Lakshmibai. His father worked for the cavalry regiment of Mysore State Troops called Mysore Lancers, which was stationed in Bangalore. Even though his mother tongue was Marathi, he was always interested in the Kannada language and was admitted to a Kannada-medium school. The poet P. T. Chellapilla Satyanarayana Sastry (1933 - 12 January 1989), known mononymously as Satyam, was an Indian music composer. He was popular in the Telugu and Kannada film industries in the 1960s to 1980s. ''Akbar Salim Anarkali'' is a 1978 Indian Telugu-language historical romance film produced & directed by N. T. Rama Rao under his Ramakrishna Cine Studios banner. The film stars Rama Rao, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Deepa, with music composed by C. Ramchandra. It is based on the legend of the romance between the Mughal prince Salim (later known as Jahangir) and the court dancer Anarkali, which is disapproved of by the emperor Akbar. Dasaradhi Rangacharya
Dasaradhi Rangacharya (24 August 1928 – 8 June 2015), also spelled Dasarathi Rangacharya, was an Indian poet and writer in Telugu language. He participated actively in the Telangana armed struggle against the rule of the Nizams. His writings incorporated the lifestyle of the people of Telangana under the rule of the Nizams. He was conferred with Kala Ratna award in 2006. Personal life Dasaradhi Rangacharya was born on 24 August 1928 in Hyderabad State (in present-day Telangana). Upon being expelled from school, he moved to Vijayawada for further education. He was married to Kamalamma and had a son and two daughters. His brother, Dasarathi Krishnamacharya, was also a writer.
