During his 40-year career, the Indonesian pop music, pop singer Chrisye (1949–2007) recorded more than 200 songs as a vocalist, writing many of them by himself or in collaboration with others. In 2009 ''Rolling Stone Indonesia'' selected four of these ("Lilin-Lilin Kecil" at number 13, "Merpati Putih" at number 43, "Anak Jalanan" at number 72, and "Merepih Alam" at number 90) as among the best Music of Indonesia, Indonesian songs of all time. After starting his professional music career as a bass guitarist with the band Sabda Nada (later renamed Gipsy) in the late 1960s, Chrisye recorded his first vocals in 1976 on the album ''Guruh Gipsy'', a collaboration between Gipsy and Guruh Sukarnoputra. Fariz Rustam Munaf or better known as Fariz RM (born in Jakarta, Indonesia on 5 January 1959) is an Indonesian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of mixed ethnic Betawi, Dutch and Minangkabau descent. He is the uncle of Indonesian singer-songwriter, Sherina Munaf. Biography Fariz Rustam Munaf was born on 5 January 1959, in Jakarta. "9 to 5" (or "Morning Train") is a popular song written by British songwriter Florrie Palmer and recorded by Scottish singer Sheena Easton in 1980, becoming her biggest hit. It peaked at number three in the United Kingdom in August 1980 and was certified gold. In February 1981, it was released in the United States and Canada under the title "Morning Train (Nine to Five)" to avoid confusion with Dolly Parton's recent hit " 9 to 5". It reached number one in both countries, becoming Easton's only chart-topper in those nations. Easton had released one single prior to "9 to 5": "Modern Girl". "Footloose" is a song co-written and recorded by American singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins. It was released in January 1984 as the first of two singles by Loggins from the 1984 film of the same name (the other one being " I'm Free (Heaven Helps the Man)"). The song spent three weeks at number one, March 31—April 14, 1984, on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, becoming Loggins' only chart-topper, and was the first of two number-one hits from the film. ''AkustiChrisye'' is a 16th studio album by the Indonesian singer Chrisye released in 1996 which was produced by Erwin Gutawa. It includes acoustic versions of several of his earlier songs, as well as new material. Production Chrisye and Erwin Gutawa, a conductor who had coordinated Chrisye's first solo concert in 1994, began working on what was to become ''AkustiChrisye'' in 1995. Realising that Western artists such as Frank Sinatra had found success in rearranging their older songs, the two decided to do the same with Chrisye's older work. ''Dekade'' (; en, Decade) is a 2002 Indonesian pop album published by Musica Studios and Chrisye's nineteenth studio album. It is also his only cover album. Creation The idea for ''Dekade'' came when Chrisye thought about previously popular songs that were later forgotten. Believing that all genres of modern music draw inspiration from the past, he spoke with Erwin Gutawa, who agreed that they should make a tribute to the history of Indonesian pop music.
