This is a list of soccer clubs in Australia. The Australian soccer league system consists of one national league — A-League Men — a state/territory-based second tier National Premier Leagues (NPL) structure and other state-based leagues. Promotion and relegation exists in some states between NPL and state leagues, however not between the A-League Men and the NPL. Included are all clubs playing in state (or territory)-wide leagues, or where states are split into two separate leagues. The Northern New South Wales Football Zone League One is an Australian soccer league situated in the Northern NSW Football Association. It is the fourth tier of football in a six-tier system behind the NPL Northern NSW, Northern NSW State League Division 1 and Zone Premier League. Teams are currently not promoted or relegated between Northern NSW State League Division 1 and Zone Premier League. The Football Queensland Premier League 3 − South Coast, or the FQPL 3 − South Coast, is a men's football competition contested by clubs on the Gold Coast and surrounding areas close to the Queensland−New South Wales border. It is administered by Football Queensland South Coast and it is within the fourth tier of football in Queensland, operated by a system of promotion and relegation. The league is contested by 11 clubs each season, the team that finishes at the top of the league is crowned premiers and they qualify for the FQPL 2 play-offs, whilst the bottom three teams are relegated to the Football Queensland Premier League 4 − South Coast. The teams that finish in the top four qualify for a finals tournament, where the winners of the bracket are crowned champions. Football Queensland Premier League 3 − Metro
The Football Queensland Premier League 3 - Metro is the first tier of senior soccer in Brisbane, Queensland (fourth tier in Queensland and fifth overall in Australia). It is run and administered by Football Queensland Metro. Formerly known as the Brisbane Premier League the competition was renamed in 2022 with Football Queensland's takeover of the league structure from Football Brisbane. Twelve teams play a twenty-two match regular season, with the team at the top of the table designated as 'Premiers', and the top four teams qualifying for a finals series. The league premiers earn automatic promotion to the Queensland Premier League 2 (the third-tier league in Queensland from season 2020 onwards), while the second place team participates in a playoff series with the other south east Queensland conference premiers for the second promotion spot. The Football Queensland Premier League 2, or the FQPL 2, is a association football, football competition contested by clubs in South East Queensland, Australia. National Premier Leagues Queensland
The National Premier League Queensland, run by Football Queensland, is the top tier state-level football (soccer) competition in Queensland. The conference is a sub division of the National Premier Leagues. The inaugural season kicked off in March 2013 and consisted of 12 teams. Each team will be expected to field a senior team, five junior men's teams from under-12 to under-20 starting in 2013 and women's junior teams in under-13, under-15, and under-17 starting in 2014. Each club has been granted a 5-year licence and there is no promotion or relegation from the league during this period. It was announced on 16 December 2016 that there would be promotion and relegation to the Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) as of the 2018 season and that the league would be expanded to 14 teams.
