Football Queensland Premier League 3 − Metro
The Football Queensland Premier League 3 - Metro is the first tier of senior soccer in Brisbane, Queensland (fourth tier in Queensland and fifth overall in Australia). It is run and administered by Football Queensland Metro. Formerly known as the Brisbane Premier League the competition was renamed in 2022 with Football Queensland's takeover of the league structure from Football Brisbane. Twelve teams play a twenty-two match regular season, with the team at the top of the table designated as 'Premiers', and the top four teams qualifying for a finals series. The league premiers earn automatic promotion to the Queensland Premier League 2 (the third-tier league in Queensland from season 2020 onwards), while the second place team participates in a playoff series with the other south east Queensland conference premiers for the second promotion spot. Acacia Ridge is a southern suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Acacia Ridge had a population of 7,429 people. Geography Acacia Ridge is south of the central business district. It is within the local government area of City of Brisbane. Willawong is an outer southern suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Willawong had a population of 177 people. Geography Willawong is by road south of the Brisbane GPO. The suburb's boundary is mostly defined by the course of the two creeks, Oxley Creek and Blunder Creek. The Sydney–Brisbane rail corridor is aligned along the eastern edge of the suburb. Bunya is a suburb in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Bunya had a population of 1,916 people. Geography Bunya is north-west of Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland. The suburb is bounded to the north by the South Pine River. Bunya Crossing is a ford across the South Pine River in the south of the locality (). Pine Hills FC is an Australian soccer club based in Bunya, Queensland. Founded in 1984, the club currently competes in Brisbane's Capital League 1. History Pine Hills Football Club was formed as an informal break-away group from the Westside Football Club in the late 1970s, and was initially based at Pine Hills Park in Francis Road, Arana Hills. Success in attracting players to the club required it to seek ways to expand, and they were able to lease their current fields adjacent to the Jinker Track, Bunya in 1983. Senior Men's football commenced in the 1984 season after a soccer pitch at their new venue was created and made fit for competition thanks to the efforts of club volunteers. In this initial season, many of the club's senior player had transferred across from the Samford and Newmarket clubs.
