The Gold Coast was a British Crown colony on the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa from 1821 until its independence in 1957 as Ghana. The Akan () people live primarily in present-day Ghana and Ivory Coast in West Africa. Nana Otuo Siriboe is a Ghanaian traditional ruler, electrical engineer and entrepreneur. He is the Omanhene of the Juaben traditional area. He has served in several capacities in chieftaincy affairs and held many Government of Ghana appointments. He is currently the Chairman of the eighth Council of State of the Fourth Republic. Early life and education Nana Otuo Siriboe II was born in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He was admitted to study electrical engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in the 1960s.
