Muar River
The Muar River ( ms, Sungai Muar) is a river which flows through the states of Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang in Malaysia. The river also flows through Muar town. History The Muar River formed part of the '' Penarikan'', an ancient overland trade route, which was a short-cut from the west to the east coast of the Malay Peninsula. Course The source of the Muar River is located in Talang, Kuala Pilah District, Negeri Sembilan, deep in the Titiwangsa Range. It was impounded by the Talang Dam, becoming Talang Lake, to meet the needs of water supply in Kuala Pilah and the entire state. From the dam, the river then flows south into the town centre and Juasseh within the same district, the west side of Bahau and Rompin in Jempol District and Pasir Besar in Tampin District, and flows all the way into the border with Johor. Sembrong River
Sembrong is a federal constituency in Kluang District, Johor, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat since 2004. The federal constituency was created from parts of the Kluang Kluang ( Jawi: كلواڠ), formerly Keluang, is a town in Kluang District, Johor, Malaysia. Johor River
The Johor River ( ms, Sungai Johor) is the main river in the Malaysian state of Johor. The river is 122.7 km long with a catchment of 2,636 km2 and flows in a roughly north–south direction, originating from Mount Gemuruh and then empties into the Strait of Johor. Its major tributaries are the Sayong, Linggiu, Tiram and Lebam Rivers. Its banks are also known to be the location of past capitals of Johor, the Johor Lama. The Sungai Johor Bridge, officially opened in June 2011, is the first bridge to span the river and is currently the longest river bridge in Malaysia. Water resources The Johor River basin occupies about 14% of the Johor State of Peninsular Malaysia. The river and tributaries are important sources of water supply not only for the state itself but also for neighbouring Singapore. Pulai River
The Pulai River ( ms, Sungai Pulai) is a river in Johor, Malaysia. It runs from Mount Pulai in Kulai District until Tanjung Pelepas, draining into the Tebrau Straits. At its mouth lies the single largest seagrass bed in Malaysia, which extends all the way to Pulau Merambong. Sungai Pulai is also a mangrove forest reserve. The site is being studied to help managing the vast mangrove ecosystem, with assistance from University of Technology Malaysia and the National University of Malaysia, in line with the Integrated Management Plan for the sustainable use of mangroves in Johor. The South China Sea is a marginal sea of the Western Pacific Ocean. Tawau River
Tawau (, Jawi: , ), formerly known as Tawao, is the capital of the Tawau District in Sabah, Malaysia. It is the third-largest city in Sabah, after Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan.
