Graaff-Reinet is a town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is the oldest town in the province. It is also the sixth-oldest town in South Africa, after Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Simon's Town, Paarl and Swellendam. The town was the centre of a short-lived republic in the late 18th century. The ''Daily News'' is an English-language newspaper in Tanzania, the second-largest economy in the East African Community. History The ''Daily News'' was the result of a forced merger of two papers. ''The Standard'' was first published as the ''Tanganyika Standard'' in January 1930 by the Tanganyikan East African Standard Limited. Karatu is one of the seven districts in the Arusha Region of Tanzania. Ceres is the administrative centre and largest town of the Witzenberg Local Municipality in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Ceres serves as a regional centre for the surrounding towns of Wolseley, Tulbagh, Op-die-Berg and Prince Alfred Hamlet. Fauresmith
Fauresmith is located 130 km south west of Bloemfontein, South Africa. The town, named after Rev Phillip Faure and Sir Harry Smith, is the second oldest town in the Free State. Fauresmith is the only town in South Africa, and one of only three in the world, where the railway line runs down the centre of the main road.
