Tintigny
Tintigny (; wa, Tintnî) is a Municipalities of Belgium, municipality of Wallonia located in the Luxembourg (Belgium), province of Luxembourg, Belgium. On 1 January 2015 the municipality had 4,200 inhabitants. Its total area is 81.79 km2, giving it a population density of 45.7 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following deelgemeente, districts: Bellefontaine, Wallonia, Bellefontaine, Rossignol, Wallonia, Rossignol, Saint-Vincent, Wallonia, Saint-Vincent, and Tintigny. Other population centers include Ansart, Breuvanne, Han, Lahage, and Poncelle. History Three-quarters of the village of Tintigny was burned down on August 22, 1914: 183 houses in the village were destroyed. The agency responsible for keeping and updating inventories of immovable heritage is dependent on the region, as is the name for the object, which is called Beschermd erfgoed, Biens classés or Kulturdenkmal depending on the language of the municipality of the location. The Semois (; ''Simwès'' in Walloon, often under elided form ''Smwès''; ''Semoy'', ''Sesbach'' in German, ''Setzbaach'' in Luxemburgish of Arlon; and known as the ''Semoy'' in France) is a river flowing from the Ardennes uplands of Belgium and France towards the Meuse, of which it is a right tributary. The source of the Semois is in Arlon, Wallonia, in the Belgian province of Luxembourg, close to the border with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Flowing in a roughly westerly direction, it enters France after passing through the Belgian village of Bohan-sur-Semois and forms about of the Belgian–French border.
