Post-grunge
Post-grunge is a derivative of grunge that has a less abrasive or intense tone than traditional grunge. Originally, the term was used almost pejoratively to label mid-1990s rock bands such as Bush (British band), Bush, Candlebox and Collective Soul that emulated the original sound of grunge. In the late 1990s, post-grunge morphed into a more clearly defined style that married the sound and Aesthetics of music, aesthetic of grunge with a less intense and abrasive tone, rising to prominence that lasted in the 2000s. ''Welcome to the Fall'' is the debut album of Arizona-based hard rock/post-grunge band 32 Leaves, released September 6, 2005. The band recorded and mixed it with Larry "Love" Elyea of Bionic Jive fame, at The Salt Mine and Mind's Eye Digital. ''Welcome to the Fall'' was not widely promoted and never charted. Touring and promotion During 2006 and 2007, 32 Leaves supported the album on tour and shared stages with such acts as 10 Years, Crossfade, Dredg, Evans Blue, Fair To Midland, Smile Empty Soul, and Trapt. The track "All is Numb" had a music video and found considerable airplay on the Sirius Satellite Radio station, Octane. It would remain in the Top 5 of the 'Octane Top 20 Countdown' for at least 10 weeks. While the track boasts a commercially accessible sound, its interlude contains profanity in the repeated line, "I guess my thinking too much is what's been fucking me up." 32 Leaves is an American rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. After releasing their first full album '' Welcome to the Fall'' in 2005, they were able to attract major label support from Universal Records. However, plans fell through and they ended up releasing their second album, '' Panoramic'', independently on March 15, 2009. History Formation and ''Fik'shen'' EP (2001–2004) The band formed in 2001 and played locally in Arizona for their first few years. Their first formal release of music was in 2003 with the ''Fik'shen'' EP. The EP had five tracks; the first three tracks, "Overflow", "Makeshift", and "Sudden Change", would later be reworked and re-recorded for their 2005 LP, ''Welcome to the Fall''. The other two tracks, "Bruised and Break" and "Dissolved", had a different, softer sound than the majority of their work, and were never reworked. '' Picture Perfect'' is the fifth studio album by the American hard rock band 12 Stones, The album was released on July 14, 2017 through independent label Cleopatra Records. Overview The title track, "Picture Perfect", was chosen as the first single for the album. The music video was premiered on Loudwire on June 14, 2017. Critical reception The album received positive reviews.
