FC Barcelona Museum
The FC Barcelona museum ( ca, FC Barcelona Museu) was inaugurated on 24 September 1984 under the presidency of Josep Lluís Nuñez. In 2000, the museum was renamed President Nuñez museum under the presidency of his successor, Joan Gaspart. On 15 June 2010, the museum was reopened after a long restructuring. The restructuring saw the museum split into three separate sections with a 3D cinema, audiovisual touch-screen, and information on the history of FC Barcelona. Since then the museum can only be visited by booking the package ''Camp Nou Experience'', which includes the entrance to the museum and a tour of the stadium. The first section includes a collection of photos, documents and trophies detailing the club's history on an interactive glass wall, allowing visitors to touch the screens and see information wall. La Barceloneta, Barcelona
La Barceloneta () is a neighborhood in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The neighborhood was constructed during the 18th century for the residents of the Ribera neighborhood who had been displaced by the construction of the Ciutadella of Barcelona. The neighborhood is roughly triangular, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, the ''Moll d'Espanya'' of Port Vell, and the El Born neighborhood. This neighborhood has its own flag, and is serviced by its own stop on the Barcelona Metro line 4. This is a good starting point for whatever itinerary there may be to adventure through La Barceloneta. The yellow line, L4, which is the metro line that stops at La Barceloneta, is the most popular for pickpocketing. The Museum of the History of Catalonia ( ca, Museu d'Història de Catalunya, MHC) is a history museum in Barcelona that promotes the awareness and knowledge of the history of Catalonia and its culture. The museum is located in Barcelona's Palau de Mar, the former General Stores (''Magatzems Generals de Comerç''), the sole building of Barcelona's old industrial port still standing. Exhibitions The permanent exhibition "The memory of a country" consists of a journey through the history of Catalonia from prehistoric to modern times, documenting the main events, cultures and historic personalities that made up the history of Catalonia. Casa Padellàs
The Casa Padellàs ( en, Padellàs's House) is a Gothic palace, originally located at number 25, Carrer Mercaders, in Barcelona. Due to the construction of the Via Laietana in the early 20th century—which otherwise would have destroyed it—the building was disassembled in 1931 and relocated to the Plaça del Rei, in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. Since 1943, it has been home to the Barcelona City History Museum, and it is catalogued since 1962 as a ''Bé Cultural d’Interès Nacional'' (Cultural Good of National Interest) with B grade, and its urban qualification is 7a(p). Gothic Quarter, Barcelona
The Gothic Quarter ( ca, Barri Gòtic or ''El Gòtic'', es, Barrio Gótico) is the historic centre of the old city of Barcelona. It stretches from La Rambla to Via Laietana, and from the Mediterranean seafront to the Ronda de Sant Pere. It is a part of Ciutat Vella district. The quarter encompasses the oldest parts of the city of Barcelona, and includes the remains of the city's Roman wall and several notable medieval landmarks. Much of the present-day fabric of the quarter, however, dates to the 19th and early 20th centuries. ''El Call'', the medieval Jewish quarter, is located within this area, along with the former ''Sinagoga Major''. The Museum of the History of Barcelona ( ca, Museu d'Història de Barcelona, MUHBA) is a history museum that conserves, researches, communicates and exhibits the historical heritage of the city of Barcelona, from its origins in Roman times until the present day. The museum's headquarters are located on Plaça del Rei, in the Barcelona Gothic Quarter (''Barri Gòtic''). It also manages several historic sites all around the city, most of them archaeological sites displaying remains of the ancient Roman city, called ''Barcino'' in Latin. Some others date to medieval times, including the Jewish quarter and the medieval royal palace called the Palau Reial Major.
