Stanley Park

Rocky Point Park
Rocky Point Park, also known as Rocky Point, is situated along Burrard Inlet in Port Moody, British Columbia, next to the Port Moody Station Museum. It is 3.8 hectares in size, and is the most well-known park in Port Moody. Rocky Point has a variety of amenities including an outdoor swimming pool, splash pad, skateboard park, boat launch, hiking and cycling trails, and wildlife viewing. There is also a covered performance stage, and new warden houses have been built. The Old Mill Boat House is also located on the property, as well as a kayak and sailboat rental shack. The park is also home to one of the five Pajo's Fish and Chips locations in the Lower Mainland, as well as a new Boathouse Restaurant location. Riverside Park (Kamloops)
Riverside Park is a park in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada that encompasses a beach next to a river. The park is bordered by the Thompson River and Landsdowne Street. There is a monument in the park that indicates the height to which four different floods reached throughout the history of the park. Riverside Park also included a water park, which was torn down in 2022. There is an 11 PM curfew at the park, but it is not normally enforced. In 1885, the site that would eventually become the park was used as a campsite by Chinese Canadians from Savona's Ferry working on the Canadian Pacific Railway. When members of the On-to-Ottawa Trek stopped in Kamloops on their way from Vancouver to Ottawa, Ontario in 1935, Mayor W.J. It is located on top of Little Mountain approximately above sea level and is the location of former basalt quarries dug in the beginning of the twentieth century to provide materials for roads in the city. History Before European settlement, the park was an old-growth forest and a spawning ground for salmon. Grey wolves, elk and bears would frequent the area. The settler population which began in earnest in the 1870s exterminated the grey wolves, elk and bears, chopped down all the old growth forest and paved over the salmon creeks. The salmon creeks that extend from Queen Elizabeth to False Creek do still exist today, however, they have been paved over. Robert Burnaby Park
Robert Burnaby Park is a 48 hectare public park in East Burnaby, just south of Burnaby Lake, located off Edmonds and 4th Street in British Columbia, Canada. It is open all year around from dawn to dusk. It has an extensive trail system, as well as tennis courts and a swimming pool in the cleared upper slope area. The north end of the park contains the Robert Burnaby Park Disc Golf Course, one of only a handful in Metro Vancouver. It is a favourite picnic spot for many residents of Burnaby and New Westminster. Dogs are welcome in the park as long as they are on leash and are kept out of areas marked ecologically sensitive. There is also an off-leash zone for dogs in the northern part of the park. Paddlewheel Park
Paddlewheel Park is a small city park on the Fraser River in Prince George, British Columbia, Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. The park was built in honor of the upper Fraser River paddle steamer, sternwheelers that landed there from 1909 until 1921. The park is located at the foot of Hamilton Avenue in historic South Fort George. Hamilton Avenue is named after pioneer storekeeper Alexander Hamilton. The local office and warehouse of the Barnard's Express, BC Express Company were located there from 1910 until 1921. Hamilton Avenue was also the address of the Hotel Northern which, during the era of Grand Trunk Pacific Railway construction, was one of the busiest hotels in British Columbia, often enjoying sales of $7000 per day, at a time when drinks were 25 cents apiece.
