Island School ( Chinese: 港島中學) is a co-educational international school located in Hong Kong. It is the founding school of the English Schools Foundation, and is still a member. The school has been accredited by international organisations such as the Council of International Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school currently houses over 1,200 students across 33 nationalities. The school has relocated itself twice since its establishment. "Invictus" is a short poem by the Victorian era British poet William Ernest Henley (1849–1903). It was written in 1875 and published in 1888 in his first volume of poems, ''Book of Verses'', in the section ''Life and Death (Echoes)''. Background When Henley was 16 years old, his left leg required amputation owing to complications arising from tuberculosis. Hong Kong Academy (HKA, ) is a non-profit independent international co-educational day school for students ages 3–18 in Hong Kong. The school was founded in 2000 by Teresa Richman and Ben Frankel.
