Nuuk (; da, Nuuk, formerly ) is the capital and largest city of Greenland, a constituent country of the Kingdom of Denmark. Nuuk is the seat of government and the country's largest cultural and economic centre. Hotel Arctic (Greenland)
Hotel Arctic is the world's most northerly 4-star hotel, with a 5 star conference Centre. It is located on the edge of the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site owned by Air Greenland. The hotel was built shortly after the airport was opened in 1984 to accommodate passengers. Hotel Arctic has 76 rooms, 9 suites and 5 aluminium "Igloos" built on the edge of the coast. The restaurant Ulo serves Greenlandic cuisine and is recognized as one of the very best in the whole country. Ilulissat
Ilulissat, formerly Jakobshavn or Jacobshaven, is the municipal seat and largest town of the Avannaata municipality in western Greenland, located approximately north of the Arctic Circle. With the population of 4,670 as of 2020, it is the third-largest city in Greenland, after Nuuk and Sisimiut. The city is home to almost as many sled-dogs as people. In direct translation, Ilulissat is the Kalaallisut word for "Icebergs" ( da, Isbjerge). Hotel Hans Egede is a four-star hotel in Nuuk, Greenland. It is named after Hans Egede and is the largest hotel in Nuuk. The hotel is located on the main street, Aqqusinersuaq. It has 140 rooms and 10 apartments and is commonly used for conferences. There are two restaurants in the hotel, Restaurant Sarfalik and A Hereford Beefstouw. Kangerlussuaq
Kangerlussuaq (; ; da, Søndre Strømfjord), is a settlement in western Greenland in the Qeqqata municipality located at the head of the fjord of the same name. It is Greenland's main air transport hub and the site of Greenland's largest commercial airport. The airport dates from American settlement during and after World War II, when the site was known as Bluie West-8 and then Sondrestrom Air Base.
