Turebyholm
Turebyholm is a manor house in Faxe Municipality, some fifty kilometres southwest of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was acquired by Adam Gottlob Moltke in 1746 and has remained in the hands of the Moltke family to the present day. It was part of the Countship of Bregentved from 1756 to 1920 and still shares its ownership with the Bregentved estate. The current Rococo-style main building was constructed by royal architect Niels Eigtved in 1750. It was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918. History Early history Turebyholm was originally located in the no longer existing village of Tureby. In the Middle Ages it belonged to the episcopal see of Roskilde. Gislingegård 03
Gislingegård is a manor house and estate located close to Gislinge, Holbæk Municipality, some 60 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark. History Gislingegaard was founded by Peder Benzon on 30 April 1730 from two farms in the village of Gislinge. He later almost doubled it in size. Benzon kept Gislingegård until his death in 1735. The estate was then sold by his heirs to county manager Jacob Jørgensen. It than changed hands a number of times until it was acquired by Erik Svitzer in 1771. He implemented the agricultural reforms of the time and expanded the sairy. The main building was destroyed by fire in 1773 and later rebuilt at a new location further to the south. The value of the estate dropped significantly during the agricultural crisis from 1713 to 1830. Baron Frederik Løvenskiold acquired Gislingegård in 1845. Dønnerup
Dønnerup, formerly known as Benzonslund, is a manor house and estate located approximately five kilometres south of Jyderup, in Holbæk Municipality, some 80 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark. The estate covers approximately 1,700 hectares and comprises Rangle Mølle and Holmstrup. The current main building was built in Gothic Revival style in 1933 after the old one had been destroyed in a fire. History 1730–1820: Early history Dønnerup was originally a village first mentioned as Dindethorp in 1199. It consisted of 12 farms and a couple of houses without land in 1688. Supreme Court justice Peder Benzon was granted royal permission to close the village and convert the land into a new manor under the name Benzonslund. Benzon died in 1735. The first known owner of the estate was Claus Basse, who ceded it to his daughter Ellen Basse in 1566. She married Otte Norby. After his death in 1592, it was acquired by Christoffer Pax, a member of the noble family Packisch von Festenberg, which had been established in Denmark earlier in the century. Aggersvold
Aggersvold is a manor house and estate located just north of Jyderup, Holbæk Municipality, some 80 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark. The current main building was built in 1833-35 for major-general Harald Rothe (1781-1848). It was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1944. History Aggersvold traces its history back to the Middle Ages when its name was Navnet and it was located in the village of Marke. In 1581, Frederik Lange and his wife Dorthe Christoffersdatter Lindenov moved the manor to its current location, renaming it Aggersvold after a village, Agerup, which had formerly been located at the site. Their son, Gunde Lange, sold the estate to admiral Henrik Vind in 1630. Vind, who had served in the Kalmar War (1611–13) and Kejserkrigen (1625-29), died just 39 years old in 1733. Holbæk municipality is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in northwestern Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in Denmark. The municipality includes the island of Orø, and covers an area of 583 km², and has a total population of 69,010 (2008).
