New Jersey
New Jersey is a state in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States. Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey
Holy Cross Cemetery is a Catholic cemetery located in North Arlington, New Jersey, United States. Since its establishment in 1915, it has interred over 289,000 individuals. The cemetery operates under the supervision of the Archdiocese of Newark. The cemetery is in size and located in North Arlington, at the south end of Bergen County. By August 2013, the cemetery had provided burial or entombment facilities for 289,600 individuals. History The cemetery was established in 1915 and now has used for graves or developed for interment. There is another allocated for development. The mausoleum is being expanded, creating 6,100 aboveground spaces for crypts and 920 niches for cremated remains. Riverside Township, New Jersey
Riverside Township is a township in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 8,079, reflecting an increase of 168 (+2.1%) from the 7,911 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 63 (−0.8%) from the 7,974 counted in the 1990 Census. Beverly National Cemetery
Beverly National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located in Edgewater Park Township, in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. Administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, it encompasses , and as 2021 had over 50,000 interments. History The original cemetery was only a single acre off of Beverly's Monument Cemetery, purchased from a local resident in 1863 for the purpose of interring Union Army casualties who died in the Beverly United States Army hospital (run for the duration of the Civil War). Additional land was acquired in 1936, 1937, 1948, and 1951. It served as a burial ground only for those veterans who died in nearby hospitals, until space in the nearby Philadelphia National Cemetery became limited, and many interments that would have been made there were made at Beverly instead. North Arlington Jewish Cemetery
North Arlington Jewish Cemetery is a cemetery dating to the turn of the 19th century, and located in North Arlington, New Jersey, along Belleville Turnpike (New Jersey Route 7). It is situated on a roughly triangular four-acre piece of land, between the gritty industrial park of Porete Avenue and the much larger Arlington Memorial Park grounds on the other side of the Route 7. Porete Ave, which borders the Kearny landfill and the New Jersey Meadowlands, surrounds most of the cemetery. At the time the cemetery was formed, however, it was situated among woods and farmland. The exclusively Jewish cemetery consists of 12 to 21 divisions, each allocated to a Jewish society or synagogue, except for one area owned by Hudson County, which it uses as potter's field for its Jewish war veterans.
