Air Show
An air show (or airshow, air fair, air tattoo) is a public event where aircraft are exhibited. They often include aerobatics demonstrations, without they are called "static air shows" with aircraft parked on the ground. The largest air show measured by number of exhibitors and size of exhibit space is Le Bourget followed by Farnborough, while Dubai air show and Singapore Air Show are both claiming the third place. The largest air show or fly-in by number of participating airplanes is EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, commonly known as "Oshkosh" after its location in Wisconsin, with approximately 10,000 airplanes participating each year. The biggest military airshow in the world is the Royal International Air Tattoo, at RAF Fairford in England. Eastbourne International Airshow
Eastbourne Airbourne, also known as the Eastbourne International Airshow, is a 4-day international air show run every August in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England. The event features Battle of Britain memorial flights and aircraft from the RAF and USAF, among others, and enjoys a long relationship with the Red Arrows display team. Starting in 1993, the event is produced and promoted by Eastbourne Borough Council. A dedicated FM radio station, "Radio Airbourne", broadcasts on 87.7FM during the event. Event format The event is usually held over 2 to 4 days in the middle of August. Ground displays are typically held on Eastbourne seafront, in the morning and afternoon, while air displays are performed in the skies over the seafront, from lunchtime to mid-afternoon. Awards The event was Highly Commended in 2016 at the Visit Britain Awards, organised by the UK's national tourist board. Fredericksburg, Virginia
Fredericksburg is an independent city located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 27,982. The Bureau of Economic Analysis of the United States Department of Commerce combines the city of Fredericksburg with neighboring Spotsylvania County for statistical purposes. The Commemorative Air Force (CAF), formerly known as the Confederate Air Force, is an American non-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas, that preserves and shows historical aircraft at airshows, primarily in the U.S. and Canada. The CAF has about 13,000 members, over 70 units, and over 170 aircraft, including the world's largest collection of airworthy warbirds. AirShow San Diego
AirShow San Diego formerly Wings Over Gillespie is primarily an air show usually held the first weekend in June at Gillespie Field in El Cajon, California. It is conducted by the San Diego wing (Air Group One) of the Commemorative Air Force. It is a regular stop for many "warbirds" that make the airshow circuit each year, including the CAF's B-17 Flying Fortress ''Sentimental Journey''. In recent years the air show has shown a larger number of flying demonstrations at what was at one time a mostly static air show. Red Bull GmbH () is an Austrian private company known for its range of energy drinks of the same name. It is also known for its sponsorship of a range of sporting events and teams. Zeltweg
Zeltweg is a town in Styria, Austria. It is located in the Aichfeld basin of the Mur River in Upper Styria. Larger municipalities in the vicinity are Judenburg, Knittelfeld and Fohnsdorf. Zeltweg Air Base, now known as Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser, is a military airfield in Styria, Austria near Zeltweg. It is the main airfield of the Austrian Air Force.
