Ukrainians ( uk, Українці, Ukraintsi, ) are an East Slavs, East Slavic ethnic group native to Ukraine. They are the seventh-largest nation in Europe. Natalia Gudina
Natalia Gudina ( uk, Наталія Гудина, russian: Наталья Гудина, born 11 November 1977) is an Israeli former competitive ice dancer. Representing Israel with husband Alexei Beletski, she placed as high as 14th at the World Championships, as high as 9th at the European Championships, and competed at the Winter Olympics. She represented Ukraine with her previous partner, Vitali Kurkudym, and won the 1996 World Junior bronze medal. Career Gudina began skating at the age of four. Early in her career, she competed with partner Vitali Kurkudym for Ukraine. They were coached by Alexandr Tumanovsky and Olga Markush. Gudina/Kurkudym won the bronze medal at the 1996 World Junior Championships. Their partnership ended in 1998. Later in 1998, Gudina teamed up with Alexei Beletski. Valentyn Mankin
Valentyn Grigoryevich Mankin (russian: Валентин Григорьевич Манкин; 19 August 1938 – 1 June 2014) was a Soviet Union, Soviet/Ukraine, Ukrainian sailor from Kyiv, three times Olympic champion for the USSR at the Summer Olympics, USSR team. Life Mankin was Jewish. He trained at Vodnik (sports society), VSS Vodnik and scored his first Olympic triumph at the Sailing at the 1968 Summer Olympics, 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, when he dominated his 35 opponents in the Finn (dinghy), Finn class, finishing first or second in five of the seven races to win the gold medal. At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Mankin switched classes and teamed with Vitaly Dyrdyra to win the Tempest class. ''The Jerusalem Post'' is a broadsheet newspaper based in Jerusalem, founded in 1932 during the British Mandate of Palestine by Gershon Agron as ''The Palestine Post''. Valeria Vladimirovna Maksyuta (russian: Валерія Володимирівна Максюта russian: Валерия Владимировна Максюта, he, ולריה מקסיוטה) is a former artistic gymnast who represented Ukraine for several years before immigrating to Israel in 2007. Biography Valeria Maksyuta started training at the age of 5 in her native Kyiv. Her first coach was Lyudmila Alexandrovna Pasyuta. In Ukraine she trained at Sports school No. 20, a physical education school for children and youth. At the age of 13 she earned the title Master of Sports. Grigory Yakovlevich Kriss ( uk, Григорій Якович Крісс, russian: Григорий Яковлевич Крисс, born 24 December 1940) is a retired Soviet Olympic épée fencer who won four Olympic medals. Lenny Krayzelburg
Lenny Krayzelburg (born September 28, 1975, as Leonid Krayzelburg; uk, Леонід Крайзельбург, russian: link=no, Леони́д Кра́йзельбург) is an American former backstroke swimmer, Olympic gold medalist, and former world record holder. He swam in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, winning a total of four Olympic gold medals. Early years Krayzelburg is Jewish, and was born to Jewish parents in Odessa (then Soviet Union, now Ukraine). Krayzelburg and his family left the Soviet Union in 1989 for the United States. They settled in Los Angeles. After their immigration, Krayzelburg's family suffered from financial difficulties. He had to commute by bus and on foot 45 minutes each way to swimming practice, and did not get home before 9:30 in the evening. The European Amateur Boxing Championships is the highest competition for boxing amateurs in Europe, organised by the continent's governing body EUBC, which stands for the ''European Boxing Confederation''.
