Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Nepal T20 League
The Nepal T20 League (abbreviated as NepalT20) is a Nepalese men's Twenty20 cricket league which was established by the Cricket Association of Nepal in 2022. The first edition of the tournament was held from 24 December 2022 to 11 January 2023. History The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) signed a NPR 330 million agreement with Indian sports management company Seven3Sports for a period of eight years to hold a franchise Twenty20 league tournament on 26 April 2022. On 18 May 2022, CAN announced that the first edition of the tournament would be held in 24 September to 22 October of the year. The league was authorized by the International Cricket Council on 11 July 2022. Mzansi Super League
The Mzansi Super League (MSL) was a Twenty20 cricket (T20) franchise league held in South Africa. The competition was established in 2018 by Cricket South Africa (CSA) as a replacement for the failed T20 Global League, but only two editions were played before the competition was itself cancelled in favour of the SA20 competition from 2022/23. The first edition of the tournament took place in November and December 2018. The South African Broadcasting Corporation broadcast all matches domestically on free-to-air channels. The league consisted of six franchise teams representing different South African cities. Two editions were played under this format before changes were proposed to reflect the wide structural changes that were announced for South African domestic cricket in 2021, but the competition did not run in 2020 or 2021 due to the COVID 19 pandemic and was then cancelled. Sialkot Stallions
The Sialkot Stallions () was a National T20 Cup team, based in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan. The team was established in 2004 and its home ground was Jinnah Stadium located in Sialkot. The Stallions was the most successful team in Pakistani Twenty20 history, having won five consecutive National T20 Cups between 2005/2006 and 2009/10 under the coaching of Azmat Rana. This period of success included a winning streak of 25 consecutive games, a world record for a top-level Twenty20 competition. Super-8 T20 Cup
The Haier Super 8 T20 Cup was the top-tier domestic Twenty20 cricket league in Pakistan from 2011 to 2015. The top 8 teams from the National T20 Cup qualified for the tournament. However, it was made defunct with the initiation of the Pakistan Super League in 2016, which currently features 6 city-based franchises from within Pakistan and is independent of the National T20 Cup. Global T20 Canada
The Global T20 Canada is a 20-over cricket tournament played in Canada. The first edition of the tournament took place during June and July 2018 with six teams competing. Each team featured four local Canadian cricketers in each squad, along with international players. The inaugural tournament in 2018 took place at the Maple Leaf Cricket Club in King City, Ontario, while the 2019 tournament took place at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario. Bombay Sports Limited are the owners of the league, and also the organizers of the Euro T20 Slam that was set to begin on August 30, 2019. KFC Twenty20 Big Bash
The KFC Twenty20 Big Bash was a domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. The competition was organised by Cricket Australia, and sponsored by fast food chicken outlet KFC. The competition was replaced by the Big Bash League as Australia's domestic Twenty20 competition after the 2010–11 tournament. The franchise Jamaica Tallawahs is the representative team of Jamaica in the Caribbean Premier League of cricket.
