Balkh Legends
The Balkh Legends ( ps, د بلخ اتلان ''Da Balkh Atalān''; fa, قهرمانان بلخ) are a franchise cricket team which participates in the Afghanistan Premier League (APL). They joined the APL as one of its original members in 2018. Afghan alrounder Mohammad Nabi was the captain for the inaugural session and Australian coach Simon Helmot was appointed as the head coach of the team. The Afghanistan Premier League (APL) ( ps, ; fa, ), officially Gulbahar Afghanistan Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is a Twenty20 cricket franchise tournament run by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), held in the United Arab Emirates. The first edition of the tournament took place between 5 and 21 October 2018 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, with up to forty overseas players involved. Five teams have been selected to compete, named after regions of Afghanistan. Darwish Rasooli (born 12 December 1999) is an Afghan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in March 2022. Domestic career He made his List A debut for Speen Ghar Region in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament on 13 August 2017. Three days later, in his second List A match, he scored his first century, when he made 130 not out against Amo Region. He made his Twenty20 debut for Mis Ainak Knights in the 2017 Shpageeza Cricket League on 14 September 2017. Ben Laughlin (cricketer)
Ben Laughlin (born 3 October 1982) is an Australian cricketer. He bowls right-arm fast-medium, mainly playing Twenty20 cricket rather than longer formats of the game. He currently plays for the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League (BBL) (Not in BBL12 in the 2022/23 season.) Laughlin began his career playing grade cricket in Queensland, and within his first-class debut for the side in 2008 he was selected to play for Australia in One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals, though his time in the national side was brief. Mirwais Ashraf Khan ( ps, ميرويس اشرف خان) (born June 30, 1988) is a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler who plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team and Chairman of Afghanistan Cricket Board since 6 November 2021. Gulbadin Naib (; born 16 March 1991) is an Afghan cricketer. Naib plays as an all-rounder, and is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm fast-medium. In April 2019, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) named Naib as the team's new One Day International (ODI) captain ahead of the 2019 Cricket World Cup, replacing Asghar Afghan. Ryan Neil ten Doeschate (; born 30 June 1980) is a former Dutch–South African cricketer who played for the Netherlands national cricket team in One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket. Ten Doeschate was named ICC Associate Player of the Year on a record three occasions, in 2008, 2010, and 2011. Ravinder Singh Bopara (born 4 May 1985) is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex County Cricket Club in one day cricket.
