Anna-Lisa Björling (née Emy Anna-Lisa Berg; 15 March 1910 – 24 November 2006) was a Swedish opera singer and actress. She was married to tenor Jussi Björling, from 1935 until his death in 1960. Born in Stockholm, Anna-Lisa was a soprano who had studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. After her marriage to Jussi Björling in 1935, Anna-Lisa focused on her family life and their children for ten years. Dina (Bernhardina) Edling, née Niehoff (14 November 1854 – 9 January 1935) was a Swedish opera singer (mezzo-soprano), singing teacher, and member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. She debuted at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm in 1876, and was employed there in 1877–1892. She was elected to the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in 1885. Mathilda Ebeling
Aurora Mathilda Ebeling (1826–1851) was a Swedish soprano opera singer. After first appearing as a concert pianist in 1842, she made her singing debut at Stockholm's Mindre Theatre in 1844. She performed at the Royal Swedish Opera from 1846 to 1848 before further study in Paris and an engagement with Berlin's Royal Opera in 1850. Hanna Tove Dahlberg (born April 25, 1973 in Stockholm) is a Swedish mezzo-soprano opera singer, active on the international opera scene. In 2005 Dahlberg was one of a group of world-class musicians who were permitted to perform inside a building at Auschwitz for the first time ever during the filming of the International Emmy Award winning TV documentary ''Holocaust: A Music Memorial Film''. Julia Claussen
Julia Claussen (11 June 1879 – 1 May 1941) was a Swedish mezzo-soprano. Early life and education Claussen was born on 11 June 1879 in Stockholm, Sweden. She was educated at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in that city; she also studied at the Royal Academy in Berlin. Career Claussen made her debut in ''La favorita'' in Stockholm on 19 January 1903, and remained with the Royal Swedish Opera for nine seasons. She sang at Covent Garden and in Paris, and appeared as Ortrud in ''Lohengrin'' in Chicago in 1913. She sang in Portland, Oregon in 1914, under the management of Alma Voedisch. Sara Charles-Cahier or Madame Charles Cahier (born Sara Layton Walker; 8 January 187015 April 1951) was an American-born Swedish mezzo-soprano or contralto singer in opera and lieder, singing primarily in Europe.
