The following is an overview of the various villains featured in the long running ''Super Friends'' franchise. Legion of Doom The Legion of Doom is a fictional group of supervillains led by Lex Luthor that appeared in ''Challenge of the Super Friends'', an animated series that starred superheroes from DC Comics. In each episode they appeared in, the Legion of Doom enacted various plots against the Super Friends, only to be met with defeat by the end of the story. Often, however, they escaped capture through a last-minute plan. The Hall of Doom was often positioned in a swamp outside Gotham City. It resembled Darth Vader's helmet. It could fly and be remote-controlled, and travel through time and another dimension. The Legion of Doom often used it to escape, for example rays from it could teleport the Legion. The Legion of Doom is a group of supervillains who originated in ''Challenge of the Super Friends'', an animated series from Hanna-Barbera based on DC Comics' Justice League. The Legion of Doom has since been incorporated into the main DC Universe, appearing in comics, as well as further animated and live-action adaptations, and also video games. History In each episode of ''Challenge of the Super Friends'' that they appeared, the Legion of Doom would enact a plot against the Super Friends and a plot to take over the world only to be met with defeat by the end of the story. In some episodes, they would escape capture through a last-minute escape plan often contrived by Luthor. Other times, the Legion of Doom (or portions of it) would end up apprehended. Danny Dark
Danny Dark (December 19, 1938 – June 13, 2004) was an American voice-over artist. For nearly four decades, he embedded pop culture with memorable lines in advertisements for Budweiser ("This Bud's for you"), Raid Ant & Roach Killer ("Raid - Kills Bugs Dead"), StarKist tuna ("Sorry, Charlie") and Parkay ("Parkay Margarine from Kraft. The flavor says 'butter'."). The trade paper Radio & Records said, "Dark's distinctive voice has been heard in more award-winning commercials than any announcer in broadcast history."
