Flag Of Sudan
The current flag of Sudan ( ar, علم السودان, ʿalam as-Sūdān) was adopted on 20 May 1970 and consists of a horizontal red-white-black tricolour with a green triangle at the hoist. The flag is based on the Arab Liberation Flag of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, as are the flags of Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Palestine and formerly of the United Arab Republic, North Yemen, South Yemen, and the Libyan Arab Republic. Whereas there is no fixed order for the Pan-Arab Colours of black, white, red, and green, flags using the Arab Liberation Colours (a subset of the Pan-Arab Colours) maintain a horizontal triband of equal stripes of red, white, and black, with green being used to distinguish the different flags from each other by way of green stars, Arabic script, or, in the case of Sudan, the green triangle along the hoist. Khalida Zahir
Khalida Zahir (; 1927–2015), also spelled Khalda Zahir, was one of the first female Sudanese doctors and women's rights activist. Childhood and education Zahir was born in Omdurman Omdurman (standard ar, أم درمان ''Umm Durmān'') is a city in Sudan. Abdel Aziz El Mubarak
Abdel Aziz El Mubarak ( ar, عبد العزيز المبارك; 1951 – 9 February 2020) was a popular Sudanese singer, born in Wad Madani. He was known for his popular love songs, pleasing tenor voice and his large band. Especially from the 1970s to the 80s, he was one of the most successful musicians during the Golden Years of Sudanese popular music. Apart from Sudanese musical traditions, he was influenced by reggae and American rhythm and blues. In addition to releasing many cassette recordings and playing at weddings and other gigs in Sudan, he and his band also recorded several CDs for the European and American market and toured internationally. Abdel Karim Al Kabli
Abdel Karim al Kabli ( ar, عبد الكريم الكابلي), sometimes spelled el Kably or al Kably (13 April 1932 – 2 December 2021), was a popular Sudanese singer-songwriter, poet, composer and humanitarian, known for his songs with themes of love, passion, nationalism, Sudanese culture and folklore. Early life Al Kabli was born in the city of Port Sudan in 1932. During childhood, he developed an interest in the Arabic language, especially old Arabic poems, and learned to play music on a penny whistle. At the age of sixteen, he moved to Khartoum to attend the Khartoum Commercial Secondary School, where he studied Sudanese folk music and Arabic poetry. Emmanuel Jal (born Jal Jok 1 January 1980) is a South Sudanese-Canadian artist, actor, former child soldier, and political activist. His autobiography, ''War Child: A Child Soldier's Story'', was published in 2009. Childhood Jal was born to a Nuer family in the village of Tonj, Warrap State in the Bahr el Ghazal region of Sudan (now South Sudan). He does not know exactly when he was born, and records his date of birth as 1 January 1980. Jal was a young child when the Second Sudanese Civil War broke out.
