Premnath Moraes
Joseph Peter Moraes Fernando (born 31 January 1923 – died 1998 May 24 as si, ප්‍රේම්නාත් මොරායස්), popularly as Premnath Moraes, was an actor, film director and scriptwriter in Sri Lankan cinema as well as appeared in versatile forms: singer, lyricist, film production executive, weightlifter, athlete, gymnast, journalist and sports administrator. Personal life Cyril was born on 31 January 1923 in Colombo in a Tamil Catholic family. He firs attended to St. Benedict's College, Colombo, but the school was later moved to Veyangoda due to World War II. Therefore, his family moved to Negombo and attended to Maris Stella College. During his school times, he excelled sports and the arts where he represented St. Benedict's Cricket and Soccer teams. Moraes is also a Public Schools Athlete and was 'Baseman' in the walking Pyramid of the gymnastic Troupe. ''Komaali Kings'' () is a 2018 Sri Lankan Tamil language black comedy thriller film written and directed by King Ratnam in his directorial debut and co-produced by Ganesh Deivanayagam, Bawadharani Rajasingham and R. Selvaskandan for Picture This Motions. Pattiyage Sunil Soma Peiris (Pattiyage Sunil Soma Peiris, 13 April 1948 – 10 December 2021) ( si, සුනිල් සෝම පීරිස්) was a Sri Lankan screenwriter, actor, editor and filmmaker in Sri Lankan cinema. He was a prolific director who directed the most number of films in Sri Lankan cinema with forty five commercial films in various genres. Personal life He was born on 13 April 1948 in Maharagama, Ceylon, as the second child of the family with eight siblings. His father Salaman Peiris, was a businessman and mother was a housewife. He completed education from Buwanekaba Maha Vidyalaya, Maharagama. His school contemporaries are Nuwan Gunawardena, Amarasiri Peiris and Kandupola Kumaratunga. Delgahawatte Yasapalitha Wickramathilaka Nanayakkara (born 19 June 1940 – died 23 June 1996 as යසපාලිත නානායක්කාර) inhala, popularly known as Yasapalitha Nanayakkara, was a director in Sri Lankan cinema and stage drama. He was also a screenwriter, producer, lyricist and actor. He died on 23 June 1996 at the age of 56. Personal life Yasapalitha Nanayakkara was born on 19 June 1940 in Udalamatta village closer to Galle as the second of a family with nine siblings.
