List Of Reformed Baptist Groups
Reformed Baptist churches are united in their adherence to historical Baptist Confessions of Faith that belong to the Reformed tradition, such as the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith or the earlier 1644 Baptist Confession of Faith. These churches are congregational in their polity, and adhere to both the Five Solae of the Protestant Reformation and the Five Points of Calvinism. Reformed Baptist churches may associate with, be affiliated with, or cooperate/partner with various organizations (associations, fellowships, networks, etc.) of Reformed Baptists churches. The organizations may either be global or organized according to specific regional areas. The Confessional Baptist Association is an association of Reformed Baptist churches in the United States. The headquarters is in Mansfield, Texas. History On November 12–13, 1996, fifteen Reformed Baptist churches met at Heritage Church in Fayetteville, Georgia to begin the planning of a national association of churches. Four months later on March 11, 1997, the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America was founded in Mesa, Arizona. The union was founded in 1997 as the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America by 24 member churches from 14 states. In 2022, it is renamed Confessional Baptist Association. Theology The association's churches all subscribe to the ''1689 Baptist Confession of Faith''. The association's General Assembly has noted that their adherence to this Confession means "the model for (association) churches is Puritan and not one of a number of competing contemporary ones." Founders Ministries
Founders Ministries, previously known as the Southern Baptist Founders Conference, is a Reformed Baptist group within the Southern Baptist Convention in the United States. Its goal is to return Southern Baptists to their roots, and it has contributed to the Southern Baptist Convention conservative resurgence. The executive director is Thomas Ascol. The Southern Baptist Founders Conference was established in 1982, holding its first annual conference in 1983. The organization which developed was renamed Founders Ministries in 1998. As of 2007, there were 807 subscribing congregations in the United States. According to Nathan Finn, non-Calvinists within the Southern Baptist Convention "seem to be especially concerned with the influence of Founders Ministries." Critics argue that Southern Baptists have never been Calvinistic. The Fellowship of Reformed Baptist Churches in New Zealand is a Reformed Baptist denomination in New Zealand. It holds to the early creeds the Apostles Creed, Athanasian Creed and Nicene Creed, and also to the Reformation distinctives, the Belgic Confession, the Canons of Dort, Heidelberg Catechism and the Westminster Confession of Faith and also to the five ''solae''. Sovereign Grace Fellowship Of Canada
Sovereign Grace Fellowship of Canada (SGF) is a fellowship for Reformed Baptist churches in Canada holding to either the Baptist Confession of 1644 or 1689. History The Fellowship was founded in 1983 by William Payne, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Burlington, Ontario. In 2001, the Fellowship adopted a constitution. As of 2012, there were 14 churches, including the Jarvis Street Baptist Church in Toronto. SGF publishes a magazine called ''Barnabas''. The Confession of Faith, also called the Second London Baptist Confession, was written by Particular Baptists, who held to a Calvinistic soteriology in England to give a formal expression of their Christian faith from a Baptist perspective.
