Norrbotten County
Norrbotten County ( sv, Norrbottens län; se, Norrbottena leatna, fi, Norrbottenin lääni) is the northernmost county or '' län'' of Sweden. It is also the largest county by land area, almost a quarter of Sweden's total area. It shares borders with Västerbotten County to the southwest, the Gulf of Bothnia to the southeast, the counties of Nordland and Troms og Finnmark in Norway to the northwest, and Lapland Province in Finland to the northeast. The name "Norrbotten" is also used for a province of the same name. Norrbotten province covers only the eastern part of Norrbotten County – the inland mostly belongs to the Swedish Lapland province (''Lappland''). The capital of Norrbotten is Luleå, whereas other significant towns include Boden, Kiruna and Piteå. Sven-Erik Österberg
Sven-Erik Österberg (born 10 March 1955 in Munktorp, Västmanland, Sweden) is a Swedish official and former social-democratic politician. He is Governor of Stockholm County since 1 February 2018 and previously served as Governor of Norrbotten County from 1 October 2012 to 31 January 2018. Österberg was Minister for Financial Markets from 2004 to 2006. Per-Ola Eriksson
Per-Ola Anders Eriksson (born October 18, 1946) is a Swedish politician. He is a member of the Centre Party. Eriksson was a member of the Parliament of Sweden from 1982 to 1998, and held the key post as chairman of the Committee on Finance from 1991 to 1994, when his party was part of the coalition forming Cabinet of Carl Bildt, which did not have a parliamentary majority on its own. ''Dagens Nyheter'' (, ), abbreviated ''DN'', is a daily newspaper in Sweden. It is published in Stockholm and aspires to full national and international coverage, and is widely considered Sweden's newspaper of record. History and profile ''Dagens Nyheter'' was founded by Rudolf Wall in December 1864. The first issue was published on 23 December 1864. During its initial period the paper was published in the morning. In 1874 the paper became a joint stock company. Its circulation in 1880 was 15,000 copies. In the 1890s, Wall left ''Dagens Nyheter'' and soon after, the paper became the organ of the Liberal Party. From 1946 to 1959, Herbert Tingsten was the executive editor. Björn Rosengren
Björn Folke Rosengren (born 14 April 1942) is a Swedish politician and advisor to the Stenbeck family. Rosengren was born in Täby. He was active in the labour union and as a Social Democratic politician. He served as chairman of the Swedish Municipal Employee Union ("Vision", formerly SKTF) from 1976-1982, and on the Federation of Public Employee Unions TCO 1982–1994. He served as county governor in the Norrbotten County from 1995-1998, as minister of enterprise from 1998-2002, and as a member of the parliament in 2002. Oscar Von Sydow
Oscar Fredrik von Sydow (12 July 1873 – 19 August 1936) was a Swedish politician who served briefly as Prime Minister of Sweden from 23 February to 13 October 1921. Biography Oscar von Sydow was the son of Henrik August von Sydow, a magistrate's clerk, and Euphrosyne Maria Modin. He was born in Kalmar and raised in Norrland. In 1890, he passed his higher education examination and proceeded to study Law at Uppsala University. In 1894, he graduated with a degree in the civil service. In 1906, von Sydow was appointed Undersecretary of State at the Ministry for Civil Service Affairs, and in 1911 he became the Governor of Norrbotten County.
